We’ve had a very hot few days here in the UK, and we can confirm it’s been exactly the same over in Italy too. Over the last few weeks, we’ve completed multiple jobs across several Italian cities, with temperatures reaching a scorching 37°C. Safe to say the crew have probably consumed enough water to keep half of Europe going!

Despite the heat, the team kept pushing on and continued delivering the high standards we pride ourselves on. No complaints, no slowing down — just plenty of sunscreen, a lot of cold drinks, and the occasional search for shade whenever possible.

Travelling between different locations also gave the crew the opportunity to take in some incredible surroundings and snap some fantastic photos along the way.

Yesterday we had the pleasure of helping tw_coffee_roastery relocate their roaster along with a few additional pieces of equipment. Using a pallet truck and tail lift, we successfully moved the 500kg machine safely into place.

It’s not the sort of move we do every day, but we always enjoy a challenge and it’s great to take on something a little different!

With plenty of coordination, teamwork, and a bit of muscle, we got the job done smoothly.

Another trip to Europe, although this one was a much quicker turnaround than most of the journeys we usually make. One of our crews had been working in Germany, where they were carrying out a collection of effects for a customer. The job itself went smoothly, and fortunately we managed to get the vehicle parked directly outside the property, which always makes a huge difference when loading. Anyone who has done this kind of work knows that parking close by can save a lot of time and effort, especially when there are multiple items to move.

The collection point was an apartment building, and thankfully the apartment we were loading from was on the third floor. In the grand scheme of things, that’s not too bad at all. It meant a few trips up and down the stairs, but it was still manageable and fairly straightforward for the team. With apartment jobs you never really know what you’re going to get until you arrive — sometimes there’s a lift, sometimes there isn’t, and occasionally you end up dealing with floors much higher than expected. All things considered, we were lucky this time. After all, it could easily have been the forty-sixth floor, which would have turned a simple collection into a far more challenging task.

Another week and another trip across the water!

Last week saw us heading back to Italy, this time delivering to the stunning Lake Como. Not a bad office for the day! The team worked their usual magic, making sure everything arrived safely and smoothly, all with that incredible Italian backdrop waiting for us.

The team had a moment to try and capture a photo of the view overlooking the lake. Unfortunately, Lake Como had other plans! The fog had rolled in thick and fast, wrapping the mountains and water in a blanket of mist. While it made snapping the perfect postcard shot a bit of a challenge, the crew did their best!

Our latest journey to Italy has wrapped up, and what a trip it was.

We handled multiple deliveries and collections throughout the run, keeping the wheels turning from start to finish. This time the route took us all the way down to Sicily, with important drop-offs on the way south and collections lined up for the journey back home.

The crew were out on the road for around two weeks, covering some serious miles, dealing with everything the job throws at them, and representing us brilliantly as always. Long days, changing routes, and tight schedules are all part of it, but the team delivered once again.

Another job completed, another successful run in the books, and now on to the next one!

Today is National Fun at Work Day — a day meant to remind us that even in the midst of heavy lifting, endless boxes, and furniture Tetris, there’s always room for a little fun, laughter, and team spirit.

It’s the perfect excuse to celebrate the camaraderie that makes every move smoother, every awkward sofa lift a bit easier, and every stressful packing moment a little lighter.

Of course, the weather hasn’t exactly been on our side today, making outdoor loading and unloading a bit trickier than usual. We’re incredibly proud to have supported Hospice in the Weald with their annual Christmas Tree Recycling Campaign this year.

We sent a crew along for two days running, helping collect nearly 2,900 Christmas trees — an amazing effort that raised a fantastic £69,821 for this vital local charity.

A huge well done to everyone involved, and thank you to The Hospice in the Weald for the incredible work you do for our community. It was an honour to play a part in such a brilliant cause.
