🌦️ It's Wednesday... and we've officially given up trying to work out what the weather is doing.

Left the yard this morning in sunshine.

10 minutes later it was raining.

5 minutes after that it was hailing.

Then the sun came back out like it hadn't just tried to attack everyone. 😂 At this point we're carrying sunglasses, waterproofs, a coat and probably a canoe just to be safe.

Meanwhile, Ian's on the HIAB...

Now we're not saying his reach is long, but we're fairly sure he could park in Aylesbury and unload in Milton Keynes. 🤣

The customer said:
"Can you reach that?"

Ian said:
"Probably."

The crane said:
"Hold my beer." 🍺😂

Honestly, the weather has changed 17 times today, but not as many times as someone has said:

"Blimey, that's a long reach!" 👀🏗️

We often share the good moments in business, but today we thought we'd share a little of the reality too.

A few months ago, we welcomed a new addition to our fleet. At first, she seemed like a fantastic asset, but as time has gone on, it's become clear that she's brought more challenges than we anticipated. Unfortunately, our new girl has spent a little while poorly parked up in the yard.
Thankfully, staff holidays and the flexibility of the rest of our fleet have helped us keep things moving, and we've been able to continue looking after our customers while the repairs are underway.

I'm incredibly proud of Dan, who has come straight back from a family holiday and thrown himself into the task of rebuilding an engine. It's a huge job that requires an incredible amount of time, patience, and determination. Alongside the support of our Transport Manager, Tremaine, we're hopeful that she'll be back on the road and doing what she does best before too long.

Business isn't always smooth sailing, and it's certainly not always roses, but challenges like these remind us just how much hard work goes on behind the scenes. Dan never ceases to amaze me with his versatility, commitment, and willingness to give 100% to everything he takes on.

Despite having one very sad lorry this morning, we were treated to the most beautiful Friday sky. Sometimes that's exactly what you need to focus on.

We're busy, we're grateful, and we're doing our very best to accommodate the jobs that are coming in thick and fast.

The summer event season is in full swing, and we're travelling far and wide supporting some incredible events and festivals!

From the vibrant crowds at Mighty Hoopla in London to the beautiful beaches of Bournemouth and Weston-super-Mare, the variety of locations and events we work on never ceases to amaze us.

Today, Ian had the pleasure of attending Royal Ascot, where he was helping to place table seating for hot air balloon experiences. He'll be back again tomorrow for more lifts in preparation for the Royal Ascot Races.

No two days are ever the same, and that's exactly how we like it!

Running a business and finding balance in life is incredibly hard. This past week, myself and Dan stepped away for our first proper family holiday with our girls and it’s been an incredible adventure with lots of memories made, something we truly needed. A chance to reset, recharge, and spend quality time together.

Leaving your business in the hands of others is never easy, but we are beyond grateful to have such an amazing team behind us. The business has continued to run exactly as it would if we were there ourselves, jobs completed, customers looked after, and everything handled so smoothly.

A massive thank you to Tremaine and Charlotte in the office for keeping everything running seamlessly. Charlotte has only been with us a short amount of time, yet she has taken everything completely in her stride. I honestly never thought I’d find someone who could mimic another “me,” but she has been absolutely amazing. Truly grateful to have her by my side and apart of our team.

Success in business is about so much more than money or material things. It’s about building something that allows you to enjoy life too, knowing you have people around you who genuinely care about the business as much as you do. Those people are incredibly rare to find.

We’re back, although after a very long flight and plenty of delays, we’re taking the weekend to recover and reset before getting back to the grind on Monday, business as usual.

🚛🏗️ The bosses are off tomorrow for a well-earned break… although mentally they checked out sometime last week 😂✈️🍹

Meanwhile the storage yard has been in full swing with 6 loads coming in, the hiabs working overtime, and the team grafting like normal💪🔥

The team have been flat out keeping everything moving while the bosses walk around “supervising” with one eye on the jobs and the other on the weather forecast abroad 😎☀️

Safe to say the team have got everything under control while the bosses prepare for the hardest lift of the week… getting the suitcase under the airline weight limit 🧳🤣

Not only are we building a great working relationship, but it’s also keeping our OG driver smiling as he gets plenty of time in his favourite lorry… which is always a bonus! 😄

Sometimes a review means more than words can explain.

This one truly meant the world to all of us especially Dan and myself.

From the very beginning, we wanted to build a company that stood for more than just haulage and transport. We wanted to create a business that people could trust completely. A company that treats every customer with genuine care, compassion, patience, and understanding.

We’ve handled a wide variety of loads so far this week including containers, steels, recycling machinery, and movement orders, keeping everything moving safely and efficiently.

Dan has just finished loading this fairly heavy container, all set and ready for its trip up to Leeds tomorrow. 👏
