Locally Operated Public Transport Company Providing Public Bus Services in Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire & Oxfordshire Chris Day’s connection with the bus industry goes back to his family’s involvement in with the old Red Rose, which used to operate between Halton, Wendover and Aylesbury. Taj Khan’s initial involvement in the ind

ustry was as a part-time Red Rover driver. His knowledge and passion for the industry developed during his time at Red Rover. Taj and Chris saw the potential for a bus company based on passenger comfort, low fares and regular service. One of the earliest ventures in the market was the Aylesbury link line route 7, which proved very successful. The company progressed rapidly over a short period of time, providing many services across the local counties earning a robust reputation in the bus industry. After Chris Days unfortunate passing in 2010, Taj Khan took full control of the company and dedicated a vehicle in memory of Chris Day for his services to Red Rose and the bus industry as a whole. The company currently operates in Dinton just outside of Aylesbury with a fully equipped workshop providing high-level maintenance for its vehicles

Ever developing the firm has recently acquired a fleet of brand new vehicles to maintain its company’s ethos of high-quality service. Red Rose operations centre on the provision of public bus services and some school services in Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire, Hertfordshire and the surrounding counties. With a fleet of over 30 vehicles, all low floor accessible the company has evolved into one of the largest public bus service providers in the South East. Vehicles are styled in a distinctive yellow and red livery. In celebration of the Golden Jubilee in 2002, Red Rose paid tribute with a Golden Jubilee liveried vehicle, which was paraded around Aylesbury during the Queen’s visit. Similarly in 2012, a newly refurbished Alexander Enviro 200 had been prepared and liveried to commemorate the Diamond Jubilee. 🔴 SERVICE UPDATE – A418 AYLESBURY ROAD CLOSURE

Due to emergency gas leak repair works by SGN, the A418 Aylesbury Road is currently closed between Wingrave and Rowsham, with the closure expected to remain in place until 20 August.
🚌 Customers are advised that bus services travelling through the area may experience delays or disruption while the closure is in place.
Please allow extra time for your journey and check for the latest service updates before travelling.
We apologise for any inconvenience and thank you for your patience.

Service 100, 165 and 150 are all currently on diversion.

**Services 100/150:** Diverting via Whitchurch, continuing to the top of the hill, turning right and following the road all the way into Wing.

**Service 165:** Diverting via Weedon through Aston Abbotts, then continuing on the normal line of route.

From 30 August 2026, Services 24, 25 and 121 will no longer be operated by Red Rose Travel and will transfer to different operators.

Changes from 30 August 2026
From 30 August 2026, a revised timetable and route will be introduced.
The route will be extended to serve Berry Lane Estate, Rickmansworth, but will no longer serve Maple Cross.
The timetable will be available on our website and social media channels in due course.

Aylesbury to Milton Keynes
Change: The 0830 journey from Aylesbury and the 0930 journey from Milton Keynes on Monday to Friday will be withdrawn. No change to the route or weekend journeys.

Overnight Closure from 20.00 to 06.00
Due to works on Churchill Avenue on behalf of Buckinghamshire Highways service 9 buses will run as service 10 at 19.55 from the Bus Station buses missing Stoke Mandeville Hospital. Passengers for the hospital are advised to use Redline Buses services 130 or 300 from the Aylesbury bus Station.

1, 4 to 6 August 7am to 7pm
Due to works on the London Road, Buckingham on behalf of Buckinghamshire Highways, buses will divert via the Bypass entering and leaving the High Street via Startford Road and missing all stops on London Road north of Tesco. Service B3 will run to Badgers Way as normal but then turn back to the bypass missing the stops on Bourton Road and Bourtonville.
