Very sad to announce that our much-loved friend and colleague John Petch passed away suddenly on Wednesday 9th October.

John was Flegg’s first employee, starting with the business in 1982.
 
Petchy has been a huge part of the company’s history and was a popular and well-respected man amongst colleagues, customers and anyone that had the pleasure of being in his company.

John was a company man in every sense and made a huge contribution to teaching so many of our new starters and setting the standard that was expected.
 
We send our condolences to John’s family and friends at this difficult time.

The ''Home Coming'' Ride - Saturday 14th September 2024

''D Day Story'' Portsmouth to ''Stowe Gardens'' Buckingham.

An early start for all as we meet the Standing with Giants crew and trucks @ Serpentine Road ( near to the D Day Story venue ) between 7.00 and 8.00am - as they will have just got off the overnight ferry from France.

We ride with the Trucks - Jason and the boys (Flegg Projects & Installation Services) as in April - So it's M27 / M3 / A34 Newbury / Oxford and Buckingham and Stowe. We're looking to have a little break at Moto Cherwell Services - off the M40 ( 2 hours 100 miles ) before heading to Buckingham and Stowe Gardens.

As it's a early start and a bit of a trek for a lot of us we're heading down Friday afternoon and staying locally ( Holiday Inn - Pembroke Road Portsmouth, PO1 2TA ) - if u fancy it it would be great to meet you.

Now we appreciate that this is a late call and there's lots going on HOG Chapter wise but we would be grateful if you could spread the word as it would be cool to get some bikes together.

An amazing day. Starting out from Blenheim Palace, down to Fort Nelson before boarding the ferry to Caen.

Glad to say the team have all made it safely down to Normandy ready to drop off this amazing work.

What you see here is a two piece injection moulding machine being loaded at our Aylesbury depot on day 1 ahead of delivery to site on day 2.

Approximately 20-tons of machine safely and efficiently moved into the factory with little disruption to the site operator or any of the neighbouring businesses.

Standing with Giants has created a touching art installation to commemorate the fallen servicemen who served under British command on D-Day.

Last week we were invited to a workshop by SWG to help paint and prepare a few of the 1475 silhouettes they created before we transport them to Northern France.

It was great to meet the team behind this incredible event and to see their efforts to ensure our soldiers are never forgotten.
