We have recently completed a substantial carriageway improvement scheme on Churchill Avenue in Aylesbury, helping to provide smoother and safer journeys for everyone using this important route. The project was delivered in two phases over two consecutive out of hours shifts.

The first phase involved plane-and-patch repairs between the roundabouts at Cottesloe Road and Grenville Road, including Church Square, whereby sections of the carriageway which required attention were planed off and renewed with new asphalt.

The team returned the following evening to carry out phase two where specialist resurfacing works on the bridge deck was completed, helping to protect the structure and extend its service life.

In total, approximately 2,135mΒ² of carriageway was resurfaced, including more than 1,880mΒ² of plane-and-patch repairs and a further 254mΒ² of bridge deck resurfacing works.

As part of the scheme, road markings were also reinstated whilst the road closures were in place to ensure the route remained safe for road users and the best use of the road closure at the location was obtained.
