A41 Traffic Management update

HS2 works on the A41 at the Fleet Marston temporary roundabout will now conclude on Friday 23 October

One additional day of off-peak traffic management will be required for HS2 to complete its works to complete a gas mains connection, due to ground conditions being unsuitable for the use of certain machinery.

Off-peak traffic management on the A41 will continue from 9:30 am – 3 pm until 23 October.

More planned roadworks are starting next week along the A41 corridor – south of Aylesbury to support both our priority of shaping great places by accommodating future growth and development, and our priority of providing quality and value services by carrying out essential road maintenance and improvement works. 🚧 Between Monday 19 October and Tuesday 3 November there will be overnight road closures on the A41 Tring Rd / Aston Clinton Rd – between New Road and Bedgrove. The road will be closed at the Bedgrove junction and will be in place from 7pm – 7am, Monday to Friday only. As such no vehicle movements will be able to proceed in any direction at Bedgrove junction, and road users should follow the signed diversion routes. New Road junction will remain open but no access to Aylesbury will be permitted.

This follows this week’s carriageway works and is to allow for resurfacing works to take place including reinforcing iron works (manhole/drain covers) and reinstating road markings.

📢 There is also a lane closure scheduled for the A41 Aston Clinton Rd on the Aston Clinton side of the Woodlands Roundabout (see previous post!) so please plan ahead and leave extra time for your journey.

🚧 Between Tuesday 20 and Friday 23 October, there will be a 24/7 lane closure on the A41 Aston Clinton Rd on the Aston Clinton side of the Woodlands Roundabout.

This work is to allow for utility trench works to take place, noting the trench will stretch across the carriageway, so works will start on one side of the road and then move across to the other. To maintain a safe working area and protect the public, the lane closure will be in place 24/7 with our team’s working hours being between 7am to 7pm.

📢 There are also additional overnight road closures (7pm – 7am) scheduled for the A41 Aston Clinton Rd and Tring Rd (see next post!) so please plan ahead and leave extra time for your journey.

Roadworks Notification: Aylesbury Road, Aston Clinton ⚠️

Thames Water is currently carrying out repairs for a water leak on Aylesbury Road, Aston Clinton (O/S 93B), with two-way temporary traffic signals in place from 16 October to 20 October.

🚧 The 24/7 lane closure of the A41 Aston Clinton Rd, eastbound carriageway (travelling towards and onto Aston Clinton bypass) will continue to be in place to allow for carriageway works to construct the northern side of the A41 Woodlands roundabout. Traffic will operate in single file past the closed-off area.

Our Road Safety Team supported this local operation, carrying out eyesight checks with drivers. We're pleased to report that all those checked had the required vision to be able to read a number plate at 20 metres.
