Our Trip To Seville 🇪🇸

After 2 full days and 3 nights in Seville, we have to say it was a really enjoyable weekend! A really authentic Spanish city not ruined by tourism.

Flights were with Vueling and cost £50pp from Gatwick and we stayed at the 3 star Hotel Patio De La Alameda, which was roughly 20 minutes walk from the main attractions, the hotel cost £101.50 per person, so a total cost of £151.50 per person. You will see in my previous post so more information on that hotel.

Boat ride along the Guadalquivir river

What To Eat In Seville
Alcazar Andalusi Tapas for traditional tapas dishes.
La Cacharreria for breakfast - Try the toast with tomatoes, olive oil and Serrano Ham.
Fried Chicharrones (pork) from Mercado De Triana as a snack.
Orange Juice - Most streets in Seville are lined with Orange Trees so this is a must!!

Getting Around in Seville
Everything was walkable, however if walking doesn't come so easy to you there are plenty of taxis, trams and a metro system.

We highly recommend Seville for 2/3 day trip, you won't be disappointed as there is plenty to see, do, eat and drink. Everyone is also very friendly, which helps the city feel really safe.

A lovely few days in sunny Seville are now over. We will have a full breakdown of our trip including hints and tips on how to make the most out of your time in this beautiful city.

Today I would like to share a quick review of our hotel, Hotel Patio De La Alameda located on the outskirts of the old town. The hotel was in a good location around 20 mins walk to the main area of of the old town housing most of the main attractions. The hotel itself was traditional in style and was extremely well kept, the rooms were clean, comfortable and more than adequate in size, the shower was also great quality. The staff were very friendly and accommodating too. There is a small rooftop cafe too, for that perfect morning coffee in the sun. As soon as you step outside the hotel, you are welcomed by the hustle and bustle of local friends and family spending time together eating and drinking from one of the many cafes, bars and restaurants, it was lovely to see and listen too. We would 100% recommend this hotel to anyone looking to visit Seville, if you would like help planning this just get in touch!! 😃 🇪🇸

🚨 Check out our top money saving tips for visiting New York.

1. Get a GoCIty Pass and save BIG on all major attractions.
2. Sit down meals can be expensive - If you want to spend less on food we loved Zazzy’s Pizza, Juliana’s, Dominique Ansel Bakery, World Foods Markets for lunches, Los Tacos No1 and there are food trucks located almost every street.
3. Most places are walkable, or reachable by the subway which is super cheap.
4. Ferry’s are available few a few dollars too, we caught one from under Brooklyn Bridge back across to Wall Street.
5. Most bars have happy hours, drinks aren’t cheap either so take advantage of these.
6. For breakfast try a traditional Deli, often found on street corners. Most of these cook up breakfast sandwiches, omelettes and more at half the cost of a diner.
7. If flying into JFK, get the AirTrain and the Long Island Rail Road into Penn Station. Its less than half the cost of a taxi and about 20 minutes quicker.
8. Don’t do all your shopping in central Manhattan, prices are inflated as most tourists are in this area. We shopped in Brooklyn which had many of the same shops including Macy’s and it was much cheaper.
9. If you want to get close to Statue of Liberty for FREE, take the Staten Island ferry. Once you reach Staten Island, you will have to wait to get the ferry back.
10. For discount Broadway show tickets, download the TodayTix app and check on the day for any last minute bargains.
11. For cheap, unique souvenirs, visit a flea market. We visited one in DUMBO Brooklyn and got 6 fridge magnets for $5. You can get much nicer items and better prices than the I ❤️ NY gifts shops.
