Vauxhall insignia cdti - oil pick up seal replacement done. As per messages you can see light corrosion to the front subframe and exhaust front section. Oil change done, oil filter replaced, pick up strainer cleaned, sump sealed with dirko hd, exhaust gaskets replaced, drive shaft oil seal replaced.

Bit of a late one today.

Vw Crafter 2.5 Timing belt kit, Waterpump, Crankshaft pulley, Oil filter housing gaskets, aux belt and Track rod replacement....

After all that i was still CHEAPER for all of it than click mechanic wanted just to do the cambelt kit pump and belt on there own!...

Our DPF Cleaning is system is a professional 2 stage workshop treatment designed to clean Diesel Particulate Filters that have become blocked due to a build-up of soot or oil or fail to regenerate. It is a much cheaper solution than replacing the DPF.

This treatment takes around 2 hours, first of all the soot content is measured via the ecu then a cleaning solution is injected into the DPF, This is left to soak into the Soot and oil for up to one hour. After that has worked its way in the dpf is then Flushed using a special product. The final stage is a a diagnostic regeneration of the DPF and a reset of the engine management system.

While the cleaner is doing its thing we will give the vehicle a full health check and look for any items that could be causing exessive regenerations to be needed, In some cases the cause of the blockage can be as simple as the incorrect oil grade being used In the vehicle. If it is unclear what grade of oil has previously been use we will recommend an oil and filter change at the same time at a discounted rate.

Crap Mechanics strike again. This corsa had recently had a head gasket change (apparently that is) and now its Loosing water and mixing oil and water again.

Found to have 2 broken bolts, 5 missing bolts and rather than having new sump and timing chain gaskets fitted (timing chain gasket would have been the original fault that was missdiagnosed as a head gasket) they look to have randomly emptied a tube or 3 of instant gasket over everything hence the red stuff.

New sump, timing chain cover, timing chain gaskets fitted and a oil change, car now seams to be holding its water.

Total Cost £220 half the price of a head gasket job
