Serene BRD 70 following a thorough refit this winter. Nice to work on a wooden fishing boat with more decades ahead of it than behind it. Built in 2006 by Waterloo boatyard in Skye for Simon Mcwhinney in Skye.

Exciting job for the New Year.

Restoration progress on Gannet, build No. 579 at William Fifes yard in Fairlie. A large portion of hull frames replaced in sawn oak, hull refastened in bronze and copper, small amount of pitch pine planks replaced below waterline and some mahogany planks replaced on topsides. All new bronze cast floors templates cast and fitted. Hull faired and painted.
