It’s a job to show what else we’ve been up to as it has already been a crazy 6 months but here’s a very small glimpse.

Inboard engine gremlins faulty fuel shutoff solenoid and a leaking crank seal just to pick a couple.

We’ve had a water tank that needed a clean out rust treatment and a fresh coating.

A Calorifier and Alde Compact install for a hire company on the canal in time for their new boat to start the season!

The unfortunate event of a boat sinking when the canal was refilled after winter stoppages. All okay now!🙌🏼

Multiple Eberspächer services and even a couple of new units being installed!

And a bit of mobile welding all carried out on the side of the canal to save you the hassle and extra fee of having your boat pulled out of the water.

Keep a look out for the other posts to show what else we’ve been doing.

If you’re interested in anything shown or mentioned please don’t hesitate to give us a call.

Cheers Ash🤙🏼

Back to Llandegfodd Reservoir back along to this brand new Mercury Marine 50hp which unfortunately had its fuel tank filled with diesel and cut out while being used. We attended, flushed everything through replaced all the filters and jobs a wrap. Even got to take her out on the water and open her up to WOT.🤙🏼

We are half way through 2024 already and the page has been a bit quiet but we haven’t! 2024 kicked off with a ton of outboard breakdowns and services and it hasn’t stopped! We have had a lot of quick callouts for carburettor cleans as well. We also got a couple of new outboards from Tohatsu and Mercury earlier in the year. Just a few of them pictured here. Thanks Guys🤙🏼

We’ve been flat out since Christmas with a whole range of jobs. A few outboards in for servicing, the fuel line had perished on another and with the bits already on the van we were done within half hour and finally another fell off the transom and went into the water whilst still running. We drained the fluids, removed head to check pistons and valves and re-build it. It’s back to the customer and running great.

Multiple Eberspächer breakdowns and alternator
breakdown thrown in too.

Also the new engine fit is coming on nicely. Had the engine bay cleaned out and the engine bearers are adjusted so we can get on with painting and drop the new engine in!

That’s another year wrapped up!

We would just like to say Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to everyone🎅🏼

2023 has been a crazy year but we are ready to do it all again next year.

Thank you to everyone who has got in touch and has supported us, we couldn’t be more grateful.

I know many of you I have spoken to this year are staying on your boats this Christmas so be rest assured we are still on the end of the phone in case of an emergency. (An emergency is not forgetting the cranberry sauce!)😉

Again Thank you all and have a wonderful
Christmas!🎄

It’s a long read but stick with us, be sure to scroll through and see all the before, during and after pictures!

As you boaty folk know space saving is pretty important on your boats which is why when when this lithium system was installed by someone not familiar with boats, this equipment took up the whole floor to ceiling cupboard.

Some of it was a bit unsightly and some of it was installed incorrectly. The customer asked us to come in and condense it all and free up some storage space so what’s what we did.

We ended up starting again pretty much. We started in the engine bay sorting out the unequal battery cables to help keep the batteries balanced when charging and tidied up the Orion wiring.

We then jumped to the cabin and as you can see it was all over the place. When you opened the cupboard door the crimps would pull off the switch panel and Eberspächer control panel as the cables were too tight. The customer knocked us up a quick box to mount the switch panel, inverter digital controller and the battery monitor display so it was out the way in the cupboard.

We moved all the equipment down low and managed to re-use most of the existing cable but had to make a few adjustments as some parts were installed incorrectly.

All the equipment in this system talks to one another and can be monitored whenever or wherever in the world by the customer, our supplier or myself via the internet through the secure VRM portal which gives the customer that peace of mind as we have alarms set up in case anything goes untoward.

Not only do we use a local Victron dealer to ensure the best customer service if you ever have a problem with a piece of equipment or batteries (sometimes this can be rectified the same day). But we are a qualified Victron installer who has gone through the hours of training and had work overseen by top Victron engineers in the marine industry to make sure it was up the standard.

For any electrical installations please don’t hesitate to get in contact for a free no obligation estimate on all works.

Again, sorry for the essay!

A very frosty one this morning(about -5🥶) but that doesn’t stop us. This pump was pulsing an had poor pressure at the furthest outlet so we installed an accumulator and neatened up the piping and wiring. Set the pressure and it runs seamless. Another one off the list…

A recent kitchen fit of ours. We also have done new ceiling and lighting, new flooring, 12v and 240v electrical and plumbing. More in the pipe work for this one so stay tuned.

Note the quirky splash back above the cooker ordered by the customer🎤

As well as a breakdown, 3 engine services, and a heater fit we also had some more welding this week. We swapped out the bad fitting stern doors for new and also swapped out the side hatch for a new set with double glazed glass and oak lining all done on the side of the canal with our mobile welding unit.
