Feis Ìle 2026 – Part Two
We kicked off the second half of this year’s Feis Ìle on a hot Wednesday morning with a masterclass at Ardnahoe Distillery. The combination of a fantastic atmosphere, cask samples of yet-to-be-bottled whiskies, and live music from Skerryvore made for a perfect start to the next stage of the festival.

The rest of the day was spent at the ever-welcoming Bowmore Distillery. We were greeted with a tasting of a 25-year-old Bowmore and a 21-year-old release from the Aston Martin series. The experience continued with rare archive bottlings, cask tastings in the legendary No. 1 Vaults, and excellent live music throughout the day.

Thursday took us to Kilchoman Distillery, where we joined a masterclass with the founder, toured the distillery, and even bottled a special edition whisky ourselves. We also enjoyed a tasting hosted by Emma, the brand ambassador well known to whisky fans around the world.

Later, we attended a Port Askaig tasting and had the chance to chat with Islay legend Jackie Thomson. The day ended at Ardbeg’s famous festival barbecue, a gathering that once again brought together great whisky, food, music, and whisky enthusiasts from around the world.

Friday traditionally belonged to Bunnahabhain. We started with an outstanding warehouse tasting led by David Brodie, one of the most respected figures on Islay. The highlight was a remarkable 34-year-old whisky matured in a PX sherry cask, a dram that left everyone momentarily speechless. We then crossed the Sound of Islay to Jura Distillery, where a distillery tour, local drams, and cocktails quickly made us forget the windy weather.

Our final festival stop was Ardbeg Day on Saturday. Despite heavy rain, spirits remained high. There was the famous cabinet filled with liquid treasures, excellent cheeses, a cinema set up in the old maltings, great live music, and plenty of rare and archival Ardbeg releases to sample.

We rounded off the day at Ardbeg House, celebrating the birthday of one of our fellow travellers, Michał.

It was a wonderful festival and we’ll never forget it.

Feis Ìle 2026 – What a Festival It Was!

The 40th anniversary edition of Islay’s iconic whisky festival is now behind us, and of course Dramventure Whisky Tours had to be there, this time accompanied by an enthusiastic group of whisky lovers from Poland.

We started at an exceptionally high level. On our very first day, straight after leaving the ferry, we headed to Lagavulin Distillery. Fantastic tastings, plenty of activities, and the unmistakable aroma of peat smoke immediately set the tone for the days ahead. Add an afternoon at the Islay Whisky Vault Open Day, and it’s hard to imagine a better way to begin the festival.

Day two brought us to Rock’ndaal at Bruichladdich Distillery. As always, Rock’ndaal delivered outstanding live music. This year’s headliners – Cammy Barnes, Tide Lines and Nathan Evans – put on memorable performances, while a visit to the festival shop rounded off the day perfectly.

Monday’s celebrations at Caol Ila Distillery may have been less lively than Bruichladdich’s event, but the quality of the tastings and drams on offer was exceptional. By the end of the day, this often-overlooked distillery had gained a few new admirers within our group.

From the very beginning, we were blessed not only with great company and outstanding whisky but also with remarkably good weather. On the fourth day, conditions felt more like Mallorca than Islay. And with visits to Laphroaig Distillery and Port Ellen Distillery on the agenda, we couldn’t have asked for a better Tuesday.

At Laphroaig, there was great music, exceptional tasting sessions and staff generously sharing older festival editions of Cairdeas. The real magic, however, happened at Port Ellen. Tasting whiskies distilled in the 1970s and 1980s was a truly unforgettable experience for everyone involved.

We still had Indie Feis ahead of us – a special event dedicated to independent bottlers. Few places offer the opportunity to explore so many remarkable whiskies under one roof.

And that was only the halfway point of the festival. Stay tuned for part two...

There are places you see in photos and think, “One day, I’ll go there.”

And then there’s the Isle of Skye — a place that simply can’t be explained. It has to be seen, felt, and experienced.

This is where you slow down, take a deep breath, and discover the spirit of wild Scotland. Untamed landscapes, endless horizons, and views that make you feel both small and incredibly lucky to be standing there.

The weather? As Scottish as it gets 😅

The wind that howls across the mountains, carrying a sense of freedom.
The rain that refreshes rather than ruins the moment.
And the sunshine that appears out of nowhere, lighting up the cliffs, valleys, and faces around you.

During our journey, we explored:
📍 Quiraing
📍 Fairy Glen
📍 Kilt Rock
📍 Armadale Castle & Gardens
📍 Fairy Pools
📍 Portree
📍 Sligachan
📍 Eilean Donan Castle

Each place has its own story, its own atmosphere, and its own magic. Together, they create memories that stay with you long after the journey ends.

If Scotland is on your bucket list, don’t wait too long.

Some places deserve to be experienced at least once in a lifetime.

And who knows… maybe next time you’ll discover the Isle of Skye with us? 🥃🔥

Dramventure is more than just a journey through Scotland.
It’s about people, emotions, shared stories, and whisky that tastes best right where it’s made 🥃

So of course, we couldn’t miss a few more distilleries along the way — places that shape the character of Scottish whisky and show just how diverse this world can be.

This time we enjoyed drams at:
📍 Blair Athol Distillery
📍 The Clydeside Distillery

Two completely different atmospheres, two different styles, and plenty of conversations over a dram — proving once again that the best memories are made in moments like these.

And we still have one more day of this magical journey ahead of us…
Stay with us — Scotland hasn’t shown us everything yet 🥃

A little madness, plenty of good humour, and even more laughter…
(and apparently the Loch Ness Monster wanted to join our crew too 😅)

Our first day in Scotland was exactly how it should be — lots of conversations, hundreds of miles on the road, shared moments, and constant reminders of just how incredible Scotland can be.

From the very beginning, the group brought amazing energy 🔥
There was laughter, spontaneous photo stops, and views that kept reminding us why Scotland becomes addictive.

On our route:
📍 Loch Ness
📍 Edinburgh
📍 Oban
📍 Glen Etive
📍 Glencoe
📍 Loch Ness
📍 Rest and Be Thankful Viewpoint

And this was only the beginning…

If you’re curious about the next stages of this journey — stay with us 🥃
Trust us, there’s plenty more to come.

On our latest whisky journey, we visited Fettercairn Distillery — a true hidden gem of the Highlands.

Founded in 1824, the distillery is famous for one of the most unique still cooling systems in the whisky world: water cascading down the outside of the copper stills during distillation.
This unusual process helps create Fettercairn’s signature light, tropical, and elegant spirit. 🥃

What made the visit even more special was how much our guests enjoyed both the distillery itself and the whisky we tasted there.
Fettercairn turned out to be one of the biggest surprises of the trip and a perfect reminder that Scotland still hides many incredible whisky treasures beyond the most famous names.

We visited Glen Garioch Distillery — one of Scotland’s oldest working whisky distilleries, dating back to 1797.

It’s also one of the very few places where you can still experience traditional floor malting — a rare and beautiful piece of whisky heritage.
History, craftsmanship, and the unmistakable aroma of malted barley all in one place. 🥃

Nothing makes us happier than welcoming back a group that once again chooses Dramventure Whisky Tours to explore the hidden gems of Scotland with us.

This time, we visited remarkable places where history meets breathtaking natural beauty:
• Balmoral Castle
• Braemar Castle
• Burn O’Vat
• St Andrews
• Dunnottar Castle
• Old Aberdeen
• Dundee
• Slains Castle

Rugged landscapes, majestic castles, and the magic of Scottish heritage make every journey truly unforgettable.
Thank you for your continued trust – we can’t wait to see you on the next adventure!

Another exciting day of our journey…

Our morning began at Glencadam Distillery — a distillery with soul, where time seems to slow down and the whisky style stays true to its elegance and lightness.

And something truly special happened there — one of our guests had the chance to bottle their own whisky straight from the cask. A souvenir? Absolutely. But above all, a story worth coming back to… preferably with a dram in hand, shared among friends 🥃

Then came a completely different side of Scotch whisky.

In the afternoon, we visited Holyrood Distillery — a modern distillery in the heart of Edinburgh. One of the youngest names on Scotland’s whisky map, where tradition meets experimentation. Different yeast strains, innovative fermentation approaches, and constant exploration of flavour profiles — you can truly feel the fresh perspective on whisky-making here.

Because that’s what these trips are really about — experiences that simply can’t be told “dry”.

Thank you to our group for the energy, openness, and conversations that always taste better over a dram.
Thank you for your trust — and we hope this is only the beginning of discovering Scotland’s whisky trails together.

See you on the next adventure 🔥

New tour, new story…
Because there are tastings… and then there are moments that stay with you.

At Deanston Distillery, we had the chance to take part in something truly unique — an epic warehouse tasting that showed whisky in its purest, most authentic form.

And let’s just say… it delivered 🔥

On the table:
☑️13-year-old finished in a Port cask
☑️16-year-old matured in Sherry Canasta
☑️27-year-old finished in Sauternes

Each one different. Each one full of character. Each one telling its own story.

And we’ve got a feeling this won’t be our last visit…

We also made a quick stop at The Clydeside Distillery and visited the iconic Glengoyne Distillery — a true classic that never disappoints.

And the weather? Proper Scottish 🤣
But let’s be honest — great whisky always warms the mood 🥃
