🚢 One of the biggest Cruise Mistakes I Wish More Families Knew About...
Picture this: your bags are packed, everyone’s excited, and vacation is finally here... ✨
Then your flight is delayed.
You miss your connection.
Weather rolls in.
And suddenly you’re watching your cruise sail away without you.
💔 It happens more often than most people realize—and it’s one of the easiest travel mistakes to avoid.
Here are my top recommendations for a stress-free embarkation day:
✈️ Fly in the day before your cruise.
🏨 A hotel near the port is a small investment compared to the cost of replacing an entire vacation.
🌅 Choose an earlier flight whenever possible.
Morning flights give you more options if delays or cancellations happen.
⏰ Plan to arrive at the cruise port at least 90 minutes before the embarkation time.
Don’t aim to arrive “just in time.” Give yourself breathing room.
🛳️ Know your cruise line’s boarding policies.
Ships operate on strict schedules, and once the all-aboard time has passed, they generally cannot wait for late-arriving guests.
📋 Have a backup plan.
Travel insurance, flexible flights, and knowing your options can make all the difference if travel plans change unexpectedly.
This is one of the biggest ways I help my clients before they ever step onboard.
✨ I help coordinate:
• Flight timing recommendations
• Port hotel suggestions
• Transportation to the cruise terminal
• Embarkation timelines
• Backup plans if travel doesn’t go as expected
My goal is simple: to help you start your vacation relaxed—not rushing through an airport wondering if you’ll make the ship.
Thinking about your next cruise? I’d love to help you plan every detail from takeoff to sail away! 🚢🌴 Send me a message and let’s make your vacation as stress-free as possible.
