You’ve got to love Meze - motorbike rally, boat jousting and a beach that you can walk out for 50+ metres and it still doesn’t come up to your knees - and a port side restaurant for dinner.
This place is hard to beat.

Ah, the beauty of motorhoming.
Yesterday we left the coast and headed towards the Dordogne via the wonderful Millau viaduct.
What an incredible feat of engineering - and it must hall the French that the architect was an Englishman.
The bridge is stunning whether you are crossing it or looking up at it.
However, after spending the night in Millau and waking up in the cold with bad weather forecast we decided to head back to beautiful Meze where the sun is shining.
Viva les MoHos!

Yesterday we visited the incredible Pont de Gard, a Roman aqueduct that was built in the 1st Century, more than 2000 years ago.
This incredible feat of engineering is part of a system that carried water a total of 31km.
Over its length of 360m the difference in height is only 2.5 cm, and if that doesn’t blow your mind - it was built without mortar - the stone blocks cut precisely to the right size.
Not only is the bridge amazing, the French have made it a wonderful tourist destination.

Last night I decided to experience an Alsace delicacy - choucroute - which consisted of a steaming pile of sauerkraut topped with five different meats of dubious provenance - and two small boiled potatoes.
After tasting this sauerkraut I can understand why a Kraut is sauer.
The potatoes were nice!
