Can’t believe this spot is real 😍🍁

When I said I wanted to rent a van and see the fall leaves in New England, this is EXACTLY where I pictured sleeping🥹🥹🥹

We randomly stumbled upon this campground on the east side of White Mountain National Forest, right off the Kancamagus Highway! 🛣️

We couldn’t believe how empty it was and how BEAUTIFUL it was!!

Getting to wake up surrounded by yellow and orange leaves was exactly what I wanted🧡💛

My Vermont fall mini guide 🍁

3 towns with 3 totally different vibes… but you need all of them on your fall trip!!

We road tripped through Vermont in late October and got to see all 3. Here’s a mini guide on where to stay and what to do in each👇🏼

SAVE this for your trip 🗺

🏔️ STOP 1: STOWE

Stay:
• Trapp Family Lodge (gorgeous mountain views)
• Green Mountain Inn (right in Stowe Village)
• The Lodge at Spruce Peak (luxe ski resort with views)

Do:
• Breakfast by the fire at Round Hearth Café ☕️
• Explore the streets of Stowe ⛪️
• Hike to Sunset Rock 🪨
• Beers at von Trapp Brewing & Bierhall (my husband’s favorite stop of the entire trip!!) 🍻
• Ben & Jerry’s Factory (book the tour ahead, it was sold out when we went) 🍦
• Cold Hollow C***r Mill (go early for the biscuits) 🍩

🍺 STOP 2: BURLINGTON

Stay:
• Hotel Vermont ($$)
• Hotel Champlain ($$)
(both are super central!)
• Or just do this as a day trip from Stowe (what we did!)

Do:
• DIY brewery crawl (get the “Leaf Peeper” flight at Switchback!) 🍻
• Dinner at Honey Road (one of my favorite meals in Vermont, make a reservation!!) 🫒
• Wander Church Street Marketplace
• Check out the nightlife 🍸

🍂 STOP 3: WOODSTOCK

Stay:
• Woodstock Inn & Resort (pricey but unforgettable, one of my favorite hotels in the world)
• The Shire Woodstock (budget-friendly + on the river)
• On the River Inn (mix of charm and comfort)

Do:
• Eat at Worthy Burger or Worthy Kitchen (get the truffle fries!!) 🍔
• Grab a maple creemee 🍁
• Dinner + drinks at the Woodstock Inn 🍷
• Walk around the cutest streets 🍂
• Visit Billings Farm 🐮

Want to go on a road trip through New England this fall?? 🍁🚐

We did this exact trip for our 5-year anniversary and I’m still thinking about it 🥹

Here’s the plan!!! ⬇️

🚐 5 days driving from New Hampshire to Vermont in a camper van
☕ coffee + sunrise over the White Mountains
🍂 the Kancamagus Highway, stopping at all the overlooks and scenic spots!
🌉 photos at a covered bridge over a rushing river
🌅 sunset from the top of Cathedral Ledge
🍦 ice cream straight from the Ben & Jerry’s Factory
🍺 b**r + bratwurst at the von Trapp family’s hilltop b**r hall
🔥 breakfast by the fire in a historic ski lodge
🧈 the best biscuits of our lives at a c***r mill
🎬 recreating the Gilmore Girls intro in South Royalton
🎃 every Halloween porch in Woodstock
🍷 w**e by the fireplace at the real-life Dragonfly Inn
🐄 falling asleep on a farm next to grazing cows

Basically… the whole trip will feel like a Gilmore Girls episode ☕

Our drool-worthy cooking class in Sorrento 🍝🤍

If you only do one food experience while in Italy, make it this one!!!

Here’s what our class looked like 👇🏼

Picked Up in Sorrento, Driven Into the Hills 🚗
We met in the middle of Sorrento and then were picked up and taken up 10 minutes into the hillside garden class building!

Fresh Mozzarella Demo + Olive Oil Tasting 🧀
When we arrived, our instructor gave us a glass of w**e and then demonstrated how fresh mozzarella is made! We got to try it with a variety of different homemade olive oils

Made Eggplant Parmigiana From Scratch 🍆
Holy molyyyy, it was heavenly!! We fried the eggplant and wrapped it in cheese / meat ourselves then sent it off to bake!

Handmade Ravioli + Spaghetti 🍝
Did not realize how easy it is to make fresh pasta! We made the dough, rolled it out, cut and stuffed the ravioli, and made spaghetti with whatever was leftover!

Ate It All Together in the Garden 🌿
We loved getting to know the other people we took the class with and enjoying the meal together in the garden

We did this on night one of the trip and it is was the perfect introduction to Italy!! 🍷🇮🇹

My top tips for visiting the island of Capri!! 🇮🇹

We packed a lot into one day and learned a few things the hard way😅😅

SAVE this for your trip 🗺

Take the Earliest Ferry ⛴️
We booked the 8:30am ferry from Sorrento, and the port and Capri town were basically empty when we arrived!!

When we saw how busy Capri town was a few hours later we were SHOCKED!! The bus lines were sooo long and there were people everywhere.

Start in Anacapri, Work Your Way Down 🚡
Take a taxi straight from the port to Anacapri (~€25-30) and head for the chairlift before it gets busy.

We made the mistake of doing the funicular + a bus instead, and it cost us an extra 30-45 minutes we didn’t need to lose.

And again, the amount of people in Capri town by noon is crazy pants.

Take Taxis Over Buses 🚕
We waited 30+ minutes in the blazing sun for the bus from Anacapri back to Capri town, then got squished onto a packed, sweaty bus around the hairpin turns.

Taxis run about €15-30 depending on the route — worth every euro!!

Explore Off the Beaten Path 🥾
Capri town and Anacapri both get slammed with crowds — even at the beach, the quieter side of Marina Piccola (past the little café) had way more room to breathe than where we set up

Pack Your Swimsuit in Your Daypack 👙
There’s no changing area at the beach itself, so swap into your suit at the bathrooms by the Gardens of Augustus entrance before hiking down Via Krupp

Where to stay on the Amalfi Coast, based on your vibe 🍋

We stayed in Sorrento and day-tripped everywhere else, but here’s how I’d break down each town if you’re picking a home base!

SAVE this before you book 🗺

Sorrento 🚤
Budget-friendly, convenient, and low-key — this is where we based ourselves, and it made getting to Pompeii, Capri, and the rest of the coast so easy! Also closer to Naples than the rest

Amalfi ⛪️
Gorgeous beach views and very walkable — but does get crowded along the one main road!

Positano 🌸
Luxury, iconic views, and lots and lots of stairs — worth it if you don’t mind earning the view!!

Capri 🛳️
Beach clubs and the bluest water on the coast — good for a night or two if you have extra time in your trip

If you only do one thing while in Greece… make it a boat tour around the island of Milos 🌊🇬🇷

I saw photos of that electric aqua water on Instagram before our trip and honestly thought it couldn’t possibly look like that in real life…

It does. It looks exactly like that!! Actually even better 🥹

Here’s exactly what our boat day looked like!!

And don’t forget to save this for your Milos trip!! 🗺

☀️ Board the boat first thing in the morning
🌊 Sail to a crystal blue swimming spot and dive in
🍺 Enjoy a cold Greek b**r on the deck
🍽 Sit down for a delicious Greek lunch on board
🪨 Then arrive at the famous Kleftiko Caves…
🚤 Explore the caves and secret lagoons on a smaller dinghy boat
💙 Swim in what I can only describe as Gatorade blue water
🧗 And cliff jump straight into the sea!!

Honestly one of the most magical days of my entire life 😭

We went with Polco Sailing and would 100% recommend them!! The tour is about $200/person and SO worth it.

The only regret I have is not booking the tour that goes to Polyaigos island too!
