A new exhibition opened last week at Helsinki Airport's Gate 42 Art Gallery. ✨The theme of the exhibition is the happiest country in the world – our beloved homeland, Finland.

The exhibition explores what happiness looks like and how it can mean different things to different people. A common thread running through the exhibition is a view of Finland and Finnishness: the changing seasons, everyday joys, the warmth of the sauna, and moments in nature.

The photos in the exhibition have been taken in different parts of Finland.

A new direct route to Tirana was launched today from Helsinki Airport. Congratulations Norwegian! 💐

Albania’s lively capital is known for its colourful streets, rich history and Mediterranean atmosphere – and now it’s easier than ever to reach from Finland. ✈️

The route operates twice a week throughout the summer season until 8 August 2026. With a flight time of just 3.5 hours, Tirana is now within easy reach from Helsinki Airport.

The first departure was celebrated today together with representatives of Norwegian and Finavia. Thank you for the cooperation and happy travels to Tirana! 💙

The return of direct flights to Canada was celebrated today at our airport! ✈️ Congratulations, Finnair, on the relaunch of the Toronto route!

During the summer 2026 season, the route between Helsinki and Toronto will be operated three times a week, on Mondays, Wednesdays and Sundays. The renewed connection strengthens Helsinki Airport’s position as a major hub linking Europe and North America. In addition to Toronto, Finnair’s North American network for summer 2026 also includes New York, Dallas, Los Angeles, Chicago and Seattle.

The first flight was celebrated together with representatives of Finnair, Finavia and the Embassy of Canada 🎉

The first-ever route to Tirana was launched today at Helsinki Airport! Congratulations, Finnair! 💐

Albania's lively capital is an truly unique city destination, where East meets West in a captivating way. The new flight connection from Helsinki to Tirana will be operated twice a week, on Thursdays and Sundays, until early October. Flight time is 3 hours and 25 minutes. ✈️

The first flight was celebrated at Helsinki Airport together with representatives of Finnair, Finavia, Honorary Consulate General of Albania in Finland and Tirana International Airport. Thank you for the cooperation!

At Helsinki Airport, the launch of Finnair’s new Valencia route was celebrated today! Passengers on the early morning flight were welcomed with a gate event featuring speeches by representatives of Finnair and the Spanish Embassy.

Finnair will operate direct flights from Helsinki to Valencia twice a week during the summer season. The flight time to Valencia is just over four hours.

Congratulations to Turkish Airlines on 20 years in Finland 🎉

This year marks 20 years since Turkish Airlines began flying from Istanbul to Helsinki. The milestone was celebrated at Helsinki Airport on 20 March 2026, bringing together representatives from Turkish Airlines, the Embassy of the Republic of Türkiye, the City of Vantaa, and Finavia – as well as departing passengers of the Istanbul flight.

Congratulations to Turkish Airlines on 20 successful years in Finland – here’s to many more to come! ✈️
