Last week, Vaasa welcomed some royal guests: Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden. However, important guests have not been entirely uncommon in the history of the KWH Group either. Sometimes a minister has visited, and on occasion even the then President Urho Kekkonen. In the 1980s, Sir David Miers, British Ambassador (1983–1987), visited Vaasa as a guest of Håkan Smeds, CEO of KWH Pipe.
