We are happy to welcome Veera Korvensyrjä as our new CFO at RABN. ⚓🌊

Veera joins us with a strong background in accounting and finance, with experience from the technology, accounting and healthcare industries. While every industry has its own characteristics, the fundamentals of financial management remain similar, allowing Veera to bring valuable expertise from her previous roles to RABN.

”I haven’t spent very much time at sea, although my family did have a small open motorboat when I was a child. But truth be told, nowadays I’m a total landlubber,” Veera says.

In her new role, Veera will focus on maintaining a clear overview of RABN’s financing, forecasting and financial performance. With her experience and expertise, we are confident that she will be a valuable addition to the RABN team.

Welcome aboard, Veera! 🤝

Baltic Sea Day is celebrated on August 27! 🌊

For RABN, the Baltic Sea is an important part of our everyday work and connects the communities, businesses and people around its shores. We are proud to take part in celebrating this unique marine environment. The day is an opportunity to appreciate our shared sea, raise awareness of its importance and encourage actions that support its future. 🌱

To mark the occasion, a generous and nutritious Baltic Sea menu inspired by the flavours of the region will be served on board our vessels. 🐟

Life at sea is built on professionalism, teamwork, and commitment. But every now and then, there’s also time to enjoy the lighter moments that make life on board memorable. 🌊

During the summer season, even a small pool on the deck can become the perfect place to unwind after a day’s work and enjoy time with colleagues. ☀️

It’s these shared moments that become lasting memories of life at RABN’s vessels. 🤝

”Marilie used to carry dusty bulk cargo, but nowadays, you can smell oranges everywhere!”🍊

Before 2022, our MV Marilie was one of many of its kind: a shipping vessel that transported regular bulk cargo. Today, Marilie is Europe’s only coastal orange juice carrier that sails between Belgium and the United Kingdom. ⚓

Captain Einar Kotka and Second Officer Ada Laine know that transporting juice requires careful monitoring and close attention to detail. Read more about their experiences on board Marilie and discover how this unique collaboration with JuiSea Shipping began on our website: https://lnkd.in/dVvRDR8m

Every day, seafarers keep global trade moving, often while working in challenging conditions far from home. This year’s Day of the Seafarer theme, ”Carrying world trade. Carrying the risks.”, highlights the vital role they play and the responsibilities they carry. 🌍

On the Day of the Seafarer, we recognize and thank all seafarers for their professionalism, resilience and unwavering commitment to keeping the world connected. ⚓

At RABN, we are proud of our dedicated crew. Their expertise, commitment and focus on safe operations are the foundation of the reliable and sustainable cargo transport services we provide every day. 🤝

To every seafarer – thank you for the essential role you play in global trade. 🌊

In Finland, Midsummer is a time to pause, recharge and enjoy the long summer days. 🌿

Grilling is a Midsummer tradition that can be enjoyed even onboard, while our vessels continue their journeys during the longest days of the year.

Together, we keep cargo moving across the Baltic and North Sea while building long-term partnerships that stand the test of time. 🤝

We wish everyone a relaxing, safe and enjoyable Midsummer. ☀️⚓

✨We are happy to share that our MV Jolie is now sailing under the Finnish flag! ✨

Previously, Jolie was registered under the Cyprus flag. Now she is a full member of our Finnish family, just like her sister vessel MV Nathalie and the rest of our fleet.

The change helps us build a shared way of working across all crews, making everyday operations smoother and giving crews more confidence to work independently.

Three cheers for Jolie, and happy sailing under the white and blue of the Finnish flag! 🎉

Today is the International Day for Women in Maritime. The day celebrates women in the industry and aims to promote the recruitment, retention, and long-term employment of women in the maritime sector.

As we celebrate this important day, we would like to introduce Noora Niinimäki, Second Officer on RABN’s mv Aurelie.

Noora, what inspired you to choose a career in the maritime industry?
I chose the maritime industry because there are many seafarers in my family, and the sea has been part of my life since childhood. I’ve lived in the archipelago my whole life and spent a lot of time at sea, so the industry felt like a natural choice for me.

Have you always found your place easily among the crew, or have you had to prove your skills to others?
Most of the time, I’ve found my place in the crew quite quickly. I’ve occasionally had to prove my skills in practice, but through experience, my confidence and professional expertise have grown.

What advice would you give to a young person considering a career at sea?
Challenge yourself and dare to try new things. The maritime industry offers plenty of opportunities to learn and develop your skills in different working environments.
