Marine Alutech offers this summer 16 summer jobs for youngsters.
The youngsters from 15-17 years old will work at the outfitting lines and in the logistic department during their school holidays. For most of these young people it will be the first working place and their first salary. „We would like to offer them the opportunity to gain practice and experience for their professional future“ says Matti Jorva, HR-manager at Marine Alutech. All 16 summer job positions are filled.

Marine Alutech is growing and expanding.

Marine Alutech's order book is growing strongly. At the same time, we ensure and prepare for future project requirements.
The current projects employ more than 200 people at the main location in Teijo, in addition to our staff in Hanko, Turku and Germany.
New hall spaces are now under construction, and more employees will come in 2026.
The company's financial situation is positive and stable. The turnover in 2025 was almost EUR 46 million.
The financial outlook predicts a turnover of more than EUR 65 million for the year 2026.

Season at pier has started in Teijo.
The first day without frost since a long and very cold period. The Season at the pier has started in Teijo with preparing Watercat 160 Pilot boats for the transfer to customer. The ice on the Sea is still over 40 cm thick. Marine Alutech´s pier is useable the whole year with its heated slipway and waterpumps for keeping it free of ice.

The Finnish company Marine Alutech and the German company Schiffswerft Gebrüder Friedrich Kiel have agreed to deepen and strengthen their cooperation.

With this cooperation agreement, both companies made an important strategic step to solidify their market positions, be stronger for coming and future projects together and be nearer to customers in the growing defense sector.

This agreement makes it possible to manufacture Marine Alutech´s Watercat Patrol and Military boats at a new production site in Kiel, Germany. First agreement includes assembly of Watercat 2000 Patrol – boats. Seven vessels of this series are already in use in the Mediterranean Sea for Frontex operations.

Both companies are family-owned and well known in the maritime branch for high-quality work and products.

New generation landing craft for The Royal Netherlands Marine Corps.

The Littoral Assault Craft (LAC) will become the new landing craft for the Marine Corps. These vessels will replace the Landing Craft Vehicle Personnel (LCVPs) and are expected to enter service between 2026 and 2028.
The Netherlands Materiel en IT Command and the Finnish company Marine Alutech are joining forces for this program.

The LAC has been designed by the Finnish Marine Alutech to support the new doctrine of the Marine Corps, known as Force Design. This concept focuses on the simultaneous landing of marines and their equipment from amphibious transport ships positioned further offshore.

The new craft provides protection in hostile environments and is equipped with powerful onboard weapon systems. It is also faster, capable of covering greater distances, and can operate at sea for longer periods than the current vessels.

The Royal Netherlands Navy is on the verge of a major fleet modernization. The LAC is therefore designed to be compatible with both the current generation of ships and the next generation of Amphibious Transport Ships

The Swedish Defence Materiel Administration ordered 20 Watercat vessels.
Marine Alutech has signed an agreement to deliver 20 Watercat vessels, based on the Watercat M9, to the Swedish Defence Materiel Administration (FMV). The new boats are supposed to replace the old Watercat M8 group boats that Sweden donated to Ukraine. For more information please find our press release here:
