An 18- month project completed successfully! Silvasti executed a project of delivering two 227-ton transformers from Asia to Southern Finland.

The transformers were charter- shipped from Asia to Southern Finland. In Finland, the most suitable port was scouted and chosen for the unloading of the vessel to ensure close distance and suitable road conditions for the road transports of the transformers.

All road transport related aspects of the project, including route survey, route modifications and ex*****on of the transport were handled by the highly qualified Silvasti transport crew. To finalize the project, the transformers were moved to their final position from the trailer by the Silvasti Jacking & Skidding- crew.

Steel tower convoy in Denmark! Silvasti handled the transport for a total of four steel towers in Denmark. The towers pictured had a diameter of 5 meters, bringing the total transport height to 6 meters.

Blade deliveries finished for a project in Finland.

Last week, Silvasti finished the blade deliveries of a new wind power project in the Finnish Ostrobothnia. A total of 48 blades stretching out to 86 meters in length were delivered safely and as scheduled.

The transports will continue next with tower deliveries, performed by Silvasti’s expert crew of drivers.

Silvasti has aquired a second APS to support the growth and development of the company TCI- operations.

The APS (Autonomous Positions System) increases safety, efficiency, and precision of lifting operations. With the two own APS's soon in use, Silvasti can perform main component lifting and installation in a variety of weather conditions without compromising safety of the people involved.

The investment further increases Silvasti’s capabilities to serve and fulfill the lifting needs of the wind industry.

A convoy of battery containers on their way!

These lithium-ion battery containers are classified as ADR- loads, meaning they need to be transported according to the requirements and legislation for road transport of dangerous goods. This sets limitations to e.g. what types of truck and trailer combinations meet the requirements for road transport of such loads, and sets training requirements for the drivers.

We have a number of ADR- equipped trucks, suitable trailers and ADR-trained drivers to perform transports of similar battery containers safely and according to all related requirements!

These containers weighing in at 42 000 kilograms were transported inside Finland.
