It's a coordinated social networking program to help meet new people in Helsinki and the Capital Region. Once you apply, the coordinator helps to match the circle according to the participants’ shared interests and common spoken language/s. TO DO WHAT? The idea is to spend some good time with new people doing something fun whether it’s a shared interest or a sharing in a new experience. The whole
group decides and arranges together what to do, where and when. Here is some inspiration:
Nature: hiking, gardening, wilderness, environmental issues, ecological lifestyle, etc
Culture: music, literature, poetry, movies, museums, languages, philosophy, education, art, etc
Sports: football, gym, dancing, skiing, boxing, walking, swimming, joga, ballet, etc
Lifestyle: handicraft, cooking, different hobbies, travelling, healthy living, wellness, fashion, volunteering, urban lifestyle, etc
Each group will also be invited to a CIRKELN mingle, an exclusive social event hosted by Luckan, where they have the opportunity to meet many more participants from other groups. It’s another chance to connect and do fun, interactive activities together.

WHO CAN JOIN? Anyone over 18 years of age residing in Helsinki, the Capital Region, and Uusimaa area. Please mention if you have some special needs so that we can find the best solutions together. COST
Taking part is free, but you pay for your own expenses with any activities you decide to do with your group. HOW DO I REGISTER? Fill in the registration form on the Luckan Integration site:

Answer the questions and do mention your interests and if you have any expectations. You’ll receive a confirmation email upon sign up. The coordinator will contact you via email once a suitable group has been found for you and proceed to create a WhatsApp group (or email thread) with your fellow Cirkeln participants. Though most registrations are processed between 1-4 weeks, please bear in mind that it could take up to 6 weeks. Your personal data is managed according to our GDPR regulation. WHO IS IN MY CIRCLE? The most important criteria connecting Cirkeln are a common spoken language and some common interests. It doesn't matter what level your language skills are, as long as you can express yourself and understand each other. Sharing common interests makes it easier to spend good time together. On the other hand, you can also get interested in something new so it’s good to be open minded. WHY CIRKELN? Cirkeln opens up possibilities to meet new people outside of the daily routine. It isn’t always easy to take that first step to meet people so we want to help you with that. Everybody is equal as a human being and treated with respect. Be on time to the Cirkeln meet ups (plan some extra time for finding the right place, address, transport, parking, also for traffic jams, etc). If you suddenly get prevented from participating please let everyone know. Should there be any inconveniences or misunderstandings during participating in Cirkeln please contact us. In case of emergency call 112. IS IT SUSTAINABLE? You can participate in Cirkeln activities as many times as you want. All Cirkeln participants are more than welcome to join all other Luckan activities too.
