Translation is Dialogue Translation is Dialogue (TID), a multi-disciplinary art curation, is a project that builds a mobile platform where everyone is given the chance to create.

Translation is Dialogue (TID) was first presented as an academic paper in Reykjavik in 2010 at the Art in Translation conference. TID was installed at the conference Culture in Mediation: Total Translation, Complementary Perspectives (November 26, 2010). t. TID: Phase 2, Helsinki in Transition (June 12, 2011) made space for live translations to be realized using drawing, music, and interactive software. A one-day workshop and installation was at the TID: Phase 3, NYC Makes it Translate (July 20, 2011). unKontained Translations (June 7, 2012) explored new ways to involve pedestrians of Lasipalatsinaukio during the 24hour public art installation and workshop space out of a shipping container. Returning to the theoretical foundation of TID, I co-ran a workshop called ‘Tools to Translate’ at Esitystaiteen Keskus on July 8, 2012. To date, there have been 14 phases of TID. The next one will be at Pixelache Festival in Helsinki, Finland from September 21-24, 2017. See you at the next place- where and when will soon be found.
