The Great Escape (and the Greater Feast) 🍗🏃‍♂️

The mission was simple: Survival.
Agent Chicken 005 had everything planned out. The sunglasses were on, the wind direction was favorable, and the escape route from Emama’s backyard was wide open. For a moment, it looked like the ultimate getaway was possible. 💨
But as the sun began to set over the horizon, the “Threat Level” shifted from Maximum to... Delicious. In our household, tradition always wins the race. While Agent 005 fought a brave battle, the magnetic pull of the spice, the slow-simmered onions, and that perfect hard-boiled egg was simply too strong to resist. Mission 001 may have failed, but Mission 002, The Ultimate Doro Wot Feast, is a certified success. 🥘

There’s nothing quite like the aroma of a holiday kitchen to remind us that some things are worth the “failed mission.” It’s a time for family, for laughter, and for the flavors that connect us to our roots.

From our family to yours, we hope our Fasika is filled with joy, togetherness, and a meal that was definitely worth the wait.
