🍷🇪🇸 What should you drink in Spain? SAVE this for your trip!

Here are some of the drinks you’ll see while traveling around Spain:

🍋 Tinto de verano — red w**e mixed with lemon-lime soda

🍷 Sangría — delicious and especially popular in tourist areas

🥂 Cava — Spain’s sparkling w**e, popular in Catalonia

🍷 House w**e — try the local w**es from whatever region you’re visiting, and I can almost guarantee you’ll be impressed

🍸 Vermut — a popular aperitif, often enjoyed with a small snack

🍺 Ce***za — b**r is everywhere, including gluten-free options 🍻

☕ Café — order a café solo, cortado, or con leche depending on how you like it

🥤 Coca-Cola — I’m seeing fewer of these made with real sugar, so check the label

💧 Aquarius — Spain’s Gatorade, available at grocery and convenience-type stores

And of course… agua 💦😂

🐉 Torre Bellesguard is one of Gaudí’s lesser-known works in Barcelona, but I think it deserves way more attention.

Built between 1900 and 1909, Bellesguard blends Gaudí’s architectural style with medieval history and Catalan symbolism. 🐉

One of my favorite parts of visiting was all the windows! As you ascended, every window offered a new view and perspective of Barcelona and the Collserola hills.

Gluten-free b**r in Spain? Sí, por favor. 🍻

I have been pleasantly surprised to find more and more gluten-free b**r options in Spain over the last few years—and at not much of a price difference. This Estrella Sin Gluten only cost 0.10€ more than the regular! 😋

Any other GF friends out there who would try this?

PS: I never claimed to have good b**r-pouring skills. 🤣

🥺😡😫😭💔 The intensity with which this ‘cuadro flamenco’ performed will stay with me for a very long time.

I’ve seen flamenco a few times, but this performance was ‘fenomenal’ and representative of so much of what I love about traveling in Spain.

There’s something about being able to stop, be present, *feel* the moment, and simply let yourself experience it. No agenda. Nowhere else to be.

Madrid did not disappoint. Thank you to everyone who made this evening so special, from the wonderful private dinner to our front-row seats. We’ll be back! 🫶
