A good sea trial tells you a lot about a boat.

A sea trial with Erik Aanderaa tells you even more.

Erik, the Norwegian sailor behind No Bu****it Just Sailing, is known for taking his Contessa 35 into some of the toughest conditions the North Atlantic can offer. So when he came to Mallorca to sail the Sh**un 43 to Ibiza, we were naturally curious to hear his thoughts.

As the official Sh**un Yachts dealer in Spain, we were lucky enough to spend some time on the water together and see the boat in action.

As sail partner of Spirit Yachts , we always enjoy following the projects coming out of one of the most distinctive yacht builders in the industry.

Many people know Spirit Yachts from their appearances in two James Bond 007 films. Sailors, however, know them for something else: timeless lines, beautiful craftsmanship, and a clear vision of what a sailing yacht should be.

The new Spirit R53 is a particularly interesting example of that philosophy.

Sometimes sailing stories are not really about sails.

They’re about finally feeling heard.

Kiwau arrived to us after a long and frustrating period for the owner. The previous furling sails had never really worked properly from the beginning and after seven months of trying to solve the issues, the decision was made to take the almost-new sails off the boat entirely and start over.

Not an easy decision for anyone.

The owner first noticed the OneSails IFS system after seeing the INCO sail project and reached out to One Palma soon after.

From there, everything became very simple:
talk openly, measure carefully, react quickly, and solve problems together.

The new sail fit perfectly from the first hoist and was successfully tested upwind in 25 knots.

But honestly, what made us happiest was not the numbers.

It was hearing the owner say:
“With One Palma, communication was amazing.”

The crab on the sail is a personal touch inspired by the island where Kiwau is based — famous for its countless crabs — while the sail colours were inspired by the INCO project that started this whole story.

This is one of the things we love most about being a local loft.

Big summer ahead for Gold Winds Academy ☀️⛵

Their 2026 clinic schedule is now running, with a full summer of sailing, learning, and time on the water ahead for young sailors. Check the schedule on their Instagram or website!

But what makes this season especially significant is that Gold Wind Academy has earned a historic partnership with Rafa Nadal Academy — a strong recognition of the level they have reached through years of serious work, structure, and commitment to athlete development.

We’re also proud that One Palma is part of the program, leading Applied Sailmaking sessions during the clinics — sharing knowledge about sail trim, textiles, aerodynamics, and how sails really work on the water.

How far can you push an A2 before it becomes unstable?

That was the starting point behind the latest sail development project for the M34 “Petit Chasseur”.

Together with owner Oliver Ochse and One Palma CEO Peter Bresnan, we recently tested a radical new A2 design:
— bigger overall profile
— open, twisted leech
— relatively flat exit
— built to create the largest possible sail that still remains stable and efficient

Not just more power.
Usable power.

And the M34 is the perfect platform for this kind of work — a light, responsive boat where every small aerodynamic change can immediately be felt at the helm and through the balance of the boat.

Oliver bought Petit Chasseur with a very specific idea in mind: to teach people sailing through real regatta experience — to truly feel sail trim, pressure, heel, steering and balance instead of just talking about it.

So this wasn’t a staged test session.
Just proper sailing, practical observations and real feedback collected on the water.
