Day 8 on the Camino

Walking around Najera I came across a bar with only locals. It has no sign at the entrance, but I go in. Inside there are only seniors and no tourists. They are all nicely dressed, playing cards and having a good time. They had a wine for 1.1 euros a glass, something excellent. It's a cool atmosphere and I really feel something good. Later the ladies come, all elegant and perfumed. I think I stayed at the bar for about an hour and drank a few glasses of wine, because there was nothing to do in the city anyway.

Morning in Logroño, I leave late even though I have a long way to go today, but I was just lazy and my legs were starting to hurt badly. I'm sure I'll make it through today too.

I kept wandering the streets of Logroño where it was full of cheerful, well-dressed people of all ages. At one point I stopped in the square at the church, where there was a huge murmur from all the discussions that were taking place simultaneously. There was an extraordinary energy. I didn't even feel like leaving there. I stayed until 10 and went straight to my room and bed, thanks to the fact that it was close.
