You’ve come all the way to Benidorm…

Don’t tell me you’re going home without doing the Infinity Boat Party 😳☀️🌊

I had an absolute blast. Great music, ice-cold drinks, sunshine, swimming in the Mediterranean and a boat full of people all there for a good time.

One of the best experiences I’ve had in Benidorm for a long time.

Trust me, this is the one you’ll be talking about when you get home.

If I could give you just ONE reason to book the Benikaktus Hotel, it would be this…Every single room has a sea view.

No paying extra.
No hoping for an upgrade.
No looking out over a car park.

Just a balcony overlooking Levante Beach and the Mediterranean every time.

The Benikaktus isn’t the newest hotel in Benidorm, but when you wake up to views like this every morning, you’ll quickly understand why so many guests return year after year.

Would a guaranteed sea view be enough to convince you to book it?

I booked guests into the hotel the internet BEGS you to avoid. 😬

“Disgusting.” “Terrible.” “Wouldn’t stay if it was the last hotel in Benidorm.”

So I went to see for myself… and they’re wrong. My guests had a brilliant time. Two big comfy beds, a massive private terrace over the Old Town, rooftop pool with 360° views. For the price? Unreal.

It’s not luxury. Never claims to be. But does it really deserve the hammering it gets online? 🤔

Would your kids choose Disneyland… or this? 👀🏴‍☠️💦

After spending time at the Magic Pirates Island Resort, I’m not actually sure what the answer would be.

Water slides, splash parks, huge pools, foam parties, pirate adventures and enough activities to keep the whole family busy from morning until night. It’s easy to see why this place is getting so much attention.

The real question is… would your kids ever want to leave? 😅

I woke up at 3:48 this morning absolutely roasting, stunned to find it was still 25°C in Benidorm in the middle of the night. 🥵

And that’s exactly what makes this heatwave so tough. The daytime temperatures grab the headlines, but it’s the nights that wear you down.

To put it into perspective, Spain is currently in the grip of its first official heatwave of summer 2026, with parts of the country under rare red alerts and temperatures hitting the mid-40s in some areas. Forecasters have also warned about widespread tropical nights where temperatures stay above 20°C, and even torrid nights above 25°C in some places.

Bringing it closer to home, here in Benidorm, the thermometer might only show 32°C today, but when you’re still looking at 25°C before sunrise, getting a decent night’s sleep becomes half the battle.

I’ve lived here a long time, and this feels like one of those heatwaves people will be talking about for years, but I’d love to hear how you’re coping. What’s actually helping you sleep or stay cool at night? Drop your tips in the comments and share what’s worked for you.
