𝐂𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐨 𝐇𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐄𝐝𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐗

The Camino has a mysterious way of connecting moments that at first seem completely unrelated.
In Burgos, while wandering behind the cathedral, I came across a striking photo mural on a door — the portrait of a pilgrim holding a walking stick. Something about the intensity of the face stopped me. I took a selfie with it. Then I took another one because the first had too much reflection.
I thought it was simply one of those interesting little Camino moments.
But the Camino wasn’t finished with the story.
Later that day, when I arrived at a small and charming hotel in Hornillos del Camino, I walked inside and suddenly froze. Hanging on the wall in front of me was the same photograph — beautifully framed — surrounded by many other powerful portraits of Camino pilgrims.
That was when I discovered the photographer: David Palacín.
And even more surprisingly, he is the brother of the owner of this hotel.
Sometimes the Camino doesn’t just show you something — it invites you deeper into the experience.
So later that same day, I decided to do a portrait photo shoot with David Palacín himself, becoming one of the many pilgrims whose faces and stories he captures along the Camino.
What began as a random photo on a door in Burgos turned into a meaningful encounter on the road.
Moments like this remind me that the Camino is not simply a road between towns.
It is a path made of choices — which street to turn into, which door to stop at, which place to stay, which experience to embrace.
Each small decision quietly shapes our own journey.
And that journey becomes something deeply personal —
an experience no one else can walk for us, and no one can ever take away.

與攝影師 David Palacín 的雙重相遇
朝聖之路常常用一種奇妙的方式，把看似毫不相關的片刻連接在一起。
在 Burgos 大教堂後方散步時，我看到一扇門上有一幅非常震撼的照片壁畫 —— 一位手握朝聖杖的朝聖者肖像。那張臉的力量感讓我停下腳步。我和它拍了一張自拍，然後又拍了一張，因為第一張反光太強。
當時我只覺得那是一個有趣的小插曲。
但 Camino 的故事還沒有結束。
當我抵達 Hornillos del Camino 一家溫馨的小旅館時，一走進去我就愣住了。牆上掛著 同一張照片 —— 精美地裱框著，旁邊還有許多其他朝聖者的肖像作品。
後來才知道，這些作品的攝影師是 David Palacín，
而更巧的是，他正是這家旅館老闆的 兄弟。
有時候 Camino 不只是讓你看見某些事情，
它還會邀請你成為故事的一部分。
於是就在那天下午，我決定 和 David Palacín 進行一場肖像拍攝，
成為他鏡頭下眾多 Camino 朝聖者故事中的一員。
原本只是 Burgos 一扇門上的隨機相遇，
卻在 Camino 上變成了一段深刻的連結。
這樣的時刻提醒我，Camino 並不只是一條從一個城鎮走到另一個城鎮的道路。
它其實是由無數選擇構成的旅程 ——
我們選擇走進哪條街、在哪扇門前停下、在哪個地方過夜、以及是否擁抱新的體驗。
而正是這些看似微小的選擇，慢慢塑造出屬於自己的 Camino。
那是一段極其個人的旅程，
沒有人可以替我們走，也沒有人能把它從生命中帶走。
