The Barceloneta festivities 25 septembre - 4th october.
This neighbourhood has a seafaring origin that it has maintained over the years and also during its celebration. For example, a very important and valuable event is the Habaneras, musical compositions that came from Cuba and were brought by the many sailors who stayed in the neighbourhood.

Every night concerts are organised and, to accompany them, rum cremat (a drink based on rum with spices, heated by fire, which the fishermen drank in the morning to escape the cold) is served.

Barcelona Gallery Weekend celebra su 12.ª edición y vuelve a convertir Barcelona y L'Hospitalet de Llobregat en un gran circuito de arte contemporáneo. Del 17 al 20 de septiembre, 25 galerías de arte contemporáneo y moderno presentarán las obras de más de 50 artistas nacionales e internacionales. Como es habitual, todas las exposiciones se inaugurarán de forma simultánea el jueves 17 de septiembre y serán de acceso libre y gratuito durante todo el fin de semana.

On 11 September, the Diada, the Day of Catalonia, is celebrated to commemorate the fall of the region into the hands of the Bourbon monarchy in 1714. Most of the events around this date are political and protest-oriented, although there is something that might interest you: some of Barcelona' s best museums open their doors for free.

If you fancy discovering the art that Barcelona's museums have to offer, the Diada is the perfect occasion. Many of them offer free admission to all visitors. Just bear in mind that, like you, other people will be taking advantage of the opportunity, so you may have to queue a bit.

Poblenou Festivals 10-20 september

There is always plenty to do at the main festival in Poblenou, a working-class neighbourhood fairly close to the city centre. One of the most outstanding events is the "cacerolada".

Anyone who wants to can go out onto the street and balconies with pots, spoons and so on to make noise around a big bonfire. The atmosphere is incredible!

The Diada de Sant Felíx in Vilafranca del Penedès is one of the most thrilling cultural events near Barcelona in August, with top casteller groups building human towers up to 10 levels high. The construction of human towers, called castells, is a UNESCO-recognized Catalan tradition, and the annual festival, held from August 29 to September 2, draws the country’s best teams.

Spectators gather in the packed Placa de la Vila to watch dozens of people form a sturdy pinya (base), build level upon level, and finally witness a small child (l’enxaneta) climb to the top and raise a hand in triumph. The atmosphere in Vilafranca del Penedès is electric, with tension and thunderous applause.

If you missed the Gràcia festivities, don't worry, the Festa Major de Sants begins today and runs until August 30th.

The Sants neighborhood, behind Sants train station, transforms its streets with elaborate handmade decorations, live concerts, DJs, and traditional Catalan events like castellers (human towers) and correfoc (fire runs).

The vibe is distinctly more local than Gracia, with fewer tourists and more neighbors, and the food stalls and outdoor stages run from afternoon until late into the night.
