Predictive Control Systems

Thinking Forward XXI SL is a spin-off of the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC-Barcelona Tech), which, in conjunction with Ferrocarrils Metropolitans de Barcelona (FMB), patented a predictive maintenance system for electric motors and their associated mechanical parts with a view to then exclusively licencing it to a company set up by the inventors. Thus, from the very start, Thinking Forw

ard XXI SL has had the backing of two major institutions, the UPC and FMB, as well as the technological knowledge and know-how of the original system developers. Today, Thinking Forward XXI SL continues to conduct R&D both to adapt its current system to different markets and technologies and to create new predictive maintenance systems.

On the 1st of March 2013 Sener and Promaut visited TMB (Metropolitan Barcelona Transport) Control Center located in Sagrera Station accompanied by Thinking Forward aiming to look closely at TFSim point machine monitoring system developed by Thinking Forward XXI. TF system is currently installed on Barcelona Metro Network in order to efficiently improve predictive, preventive and corrective maintenance system.
