Sometimes the best travel memories come from simply saying YES.

Yes to trying something different.
Yes to getting out of your comfort zone.
Yes to experiencing somewhere in a completely different way.

This was one of those moments in Dubai.

I was there with my mum, Sarah and Sophia, and we made the most of being somewhere new and experiencing it together. 💜

You don't have to do every attraction or tick every box.

Sometimes you just need to be open to trying something you wouldn't normally do.

Because you never know which experience will become the story you tell for years to come. ✨

That's what I love about travel.

Here’s a tip that’s easy to overlook: dress for the experience, not just the destination. 🏜️

The desert can be very warm, so lightweight, comfortable clothing is a good choice. If you’re planning activities like camel riding or dune experiences, comfortable footwear is important too.

And remember, the desert isn’t the place for your heaviest suitcase! 😂

Sarah and Sophia enjoyed their desert experience, and being comfortable made it much easier to enjoy the adventure.

A little thought about what you wear can make a big difference to your day.

And sometimes you don't need a fancy restaurant.

A little local café, a market stall or a simple meal shared with others can become one of the highlights of a trip.

Have you ever had one of those moments that completely catches you by surprise?

I was walking over to introduce myself to Lisa, who I already knew online, when suddenly I heard someone shout from across the swimming pool...

“It’s Mu!” 😂💜

I turned around and saw Juana, Lisa’s sister.

I had absolutely no idea who she was!

We had never met before, but she recognised me from the Zoom calls I’d been speaking on over the years.

I remember thinking how lovely it was that someone I had never met in person recognised me from behind a swimming pool! 😂

That unexpected moment was the beginning of a real-life friendship, and two years later I met Juana and Lisa again on the Venice World Tour.

It’s moments like this that remind me that travel is about so much more than visiting a destination.

Sometimes it’s about the people you meet, the connections you make and the stories you come home with. 🌍✨

And sometimes someone shouting “It’s Mu!” across a swimming pool becomes one of the memories you never forget. 💜

Feel Good Friday 💜🌍

Some of my favourite travel memories are the simple ones.

Not necessarily the biggest attraction.
Not the fanciest restaurant.
Not even the most exciting adventure.

Sometimes it’s just being together.

This photo was taken in Dubai with my mum, Sarah and Sophia, and looking back at it reminds me how special it is to experience new places with the people you love. 💜

We explored, laughed, took photos and made memories that I know I’ll look back on for years to come.

Because that's the beautiful thing about travel.

You don't just collect destinations.

You collect moments.

And sometimes, those moments become the memories you treasure most. ✨
