Celebrating 22 years of First Choice Travel Group!
July 15, 2004—the beginning.
I started selling travel well over 25 years ago, more like nearing 30 years. I was doing it before it was the popular thing to do. I was doing it when having a travel and tourism certification was a real thing and a requirement.
I remember using my military tuition assistance to enroll in the classes. I was laughed at when I chose travel school over traditional college courses. The jokes on you jack! I’m 2 1/2 years into a doctoral program!
I was doing it back when you actually had to be extremely knowledgeable and skillful in navigating ARC requirements, CRS, Ticket Stocks to book travel.
When, you had to know how to navigate a GDS and manually ticket airfare. Whew! That was a ridiculous challenge, at first.
Have you ever seen a handwritten airline ticket? Yeah, I’ve been doing it that long. 3 part airline tickets…..whew, I’m dating myself!
I started an agency while serving our country. I did it with no get rich quick schemes. No pryamids. No recruitments. No downline. No upline. No sign on bonus. No can you watch this video. No can you come to a meeting. Just plain old hard work and the support of my tribe.
My agency is independently owned and operated, insured, licensed and bonded.
We specialize in leisure, sports, entertainment and corporate travel.
We are seasoned Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions (MICE) planners.
I’ve mastered the group travel model. I actively plan and manage meetings and events in the organizational corporate space. Curating incentive travel and business development programs is a joy.
Just because I don’t post it doesn’t mean it doesn’t happen. Oh, the work is being done!
Now, if you want cheap, my services won’t work for you. Truth being, a prospective buyer’s low budget is not our starting price.
If you want mediocre products and services, we are not your agency.
Because I value my clients I also value my agency.
I do not compete where I don’t compare.
Because of those sentiments, I will not dummy down who I am for a buck.
High quality or I close the doors. Simple enough.
