Our last location before driving back to Cómpeta. A beach day 🏖️ in Calpe with the iconic Peñón de Ifach as a backdrop. That just about wraps up our first summer travels in the moho. 3 1/2 months travelling through Spain 🇪🇦 Portugal 🇵🇹 France 🇨🇵 and UK 🇬🇧. We've done nearly 9,000 kms visiting new places and some not so new. As much as we've enjoyed living in the moho it will be nice to get back in the villa, big bed, large shower and living room with a big TV. As the weather forecast is good, might still manage a dip in the pool.🏊🏼‍♂️🤽🏼‍♂️ That's all the traveling for now.

Yesterday, after the obligatory ride on the tourist train 🚂 we had a day on the beach at Peñíscola. 🏖️Photos from the train and lunch. Beach photos put on hold to protect the innocent! As it's feria time kept awake one night with music until 7am then a 20 minute fireworks 🎇 display at midnight! Today we head to Calpe.

After our mobile red alert alarm for severe thunderstorms last night, boy did we get a storm!⛈️ A light show like Iron Maiden and thunder like Motörhead! 🤘🏼We managed to get out today for a promenade walk along Sitges seafront. It's Bears Week apparently so lots of guys with beards, taches, hairy backs, vests etc. I'll let you work it out!! Back to the camp site (no pun intended!) for a few hours outside before the rain came again. Normal service resumes tomorrow, we believe. 🌤️ Tomorrow we head to Peñiscola. A real place with a double entendre for its name!!!

Today we spent a few hours discovering Perpignan on the tourist train 🚂 and on foot. Very nice city with plenty of history as described on the train. T'was a tad warm 🥵 come the afternoon so we made our way back to the campsite to chill. Or try to!!!! Are we missing autumn 🍂 out? Tomorrow we cross back into Spain 🇪🇦 and a few nights in Sitges, hopefully a couple of beach days. 🏖️

On The Road. During our drive through France to the Spanish border we passed over the Millau Viaduct, much to Debbie's trepidation! Since it's opening in 2004 until 2025, it was the highest road bridge in the world 🌎. The height is 343m (1,125ft) and length 2,460m (8,070ft). While parked at the Aire de Millau we were treated to some of the 35 British registered McClarens touring through France.

Todo Travels has been on the road for a couple of days hacking through France. 🇨🇵 Our first actual stop for sightseeing is Clermont-Ferrand and Vulcania National Park. 🌋 These are just a few photos taken during a short rest stop on route. More to come as we slowly make our way home 🏠

Today we abandoned our planned long yomp due to the unpredictable rainy weather.🌧️ Instead we packed up the moho and drove most of the way to Bamburgh and walked a shorter distance to the castle 🏰 and village. Beautiful setting but at nearly £20 each we gave up the idea of seeing the inside and admired it from afar! Being back up north my arms got shorter and pockets longer!!!!

After our soaking yesterday we set off today, between the showers, 🌧️ for Seahouses. Almost managed to get back before the rain came again. Not as heavy as yesterday but we just got back in time to avoid another soaking. Forecast looking better tomorrow when we're thinking of yomping to Bamburgh Castle.🤔
