Today I would like to tell you about a very interesting multi-day trip to the oases of Dakhla and Kharga, which I took with my lovely guests from Tunisia.

These oases are the southernmost oases in Egypt.

Dakhla was the capital of the region during the pharaonic period and was located on an important trade route. The oasis has abundant water sources, so it is largely used for agriculture. The many hot springs are a popular attraction nowadays. The oasis encompasses 16 villages, the largest of which is Mut.
Al Qasr is the most interesting village for tourists, with old houses and narrow streets.

Kharga is the largest of the Egyptian oases and the current capital of the administrative district. Little remains of ancient Kharga itself. However, there are sights here such as the Kharga Museum, the Temple of Hibis, and the necropolis of al-Bagawat.

Alexandria – Museum of the Royal Jewels

This enchanting museum displays wonderful jewelry and decorative objects that once belonged to the royal family of Egypt.

The building itself is a part of Egyptian history. It is the former palace of Princess Fatema El Zahraa and was built in the 19th century in the European style of the time.

This museum showcases a different side of Egyptian art history and is definitely worth a visit.

Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli announced that President Abdel Fattah El Sisi has approved setting the date for opening the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM), which will be on the 1st of November.

🌟 The Prime Minister instructed all ministries and relevant bodies to prepare for the event to complete the ongoing arrangements at full speed, to ensure GEM and its vicinity are fully ready in a way that reflects the prestigious image of the museum's opening.
🌟 Madbouli emphasized that the opening of the museum is being prepared as an exceptional event that will be added to the record of prominent national occasions associated with modern Egyptian history.
🌟 It is expected to witness distinguished official attendance from many countries around the world and will include several accompanying events.

Some news about the grand opening of the GEM.

The Egyptian Travel Agents Associations reported on Tuesday that the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM) will be closed from June 15th to July 5th, in preparations for its grand opening.
