🌾 Prince Khaemwaset (20th Dynasty - QV44 - West Bank Luxor) 🌴

Khaemwaset or Khaemwase was a prince, son of King Ramesses III.
His name can also be found as Ramesses Khaemwaset.

On the picture, the Prince faces Hapi, God of the underworld, depicted with the head of a Hamadryas baboon and also protector of the lungs of the deceased.

For this reason, it is common to find the baboon head of Hapi as a lid of canopic jars containing lungs.

Tomb of Sennedjem (TT1)

The Theban Tomb TT1 is located in Deir el-Medina, part of the Theban Necropolis, on the west bank of the Nile, opposite to Luxor. Sennedjem lived in Deir el-Medina, the village of the worker, during the Dynasty XIX reigns of Seti I and Rameses II. He was one of the necropolis workers and his title was ‘Servant in the Place of Truth’.

This tomb was discovered intact in 1886. The burial chamber contained 20 mummies, 9 of them in coffins belonging to the deceased and members of his family, along with a rich hoard of funerary equipment, now in Cairo Museum and other museums.

🔸König Snofru ist der Gründer der Vierten Dynastie und der Vater von König Cheops

🔹Die Knickpyramide und andere Pyramiden der Gegend von Dahshur sind Teil des alten Friedhofs von Memphis.

🔸Die Knickpyramide wurde 2600 v. Chr. von König Senefru erbaut.

🔹Seine Höhe beträgt etwa 101 Meter.
Seine Basis beträgt etwa 188 Meter.
Die gebogene Pyramide hat zwei Eingänge
Ein Eingang auf der Nordseite in 12 Metern Höhe führt zu einem absteigenden Korridor von 79 Metern Länge und einer Querhalle und von dort zu einem unregelmäßigen Korridor
Auf der linken Seite der Pyramide befindet sich die Grabkammer, in der Reste von Zedernholzsäulen gefunden wurden
1951 n. Chr. entdeckte der Archäologe Dr. Ahmed Fakhry einen weiteren Eingang zur Pyramide auf der Westseite, als er die Korridore in der Pyramide säuberte.

🔸Der Name von König Sneferu wurde mehr als einmal auf die Steinblöcke der Pyramide geschrieben
