Tanzanian Minister of Transport Visits October Dry Port to Explore Its Operational and Management Experience.

On the sidelines of the United Republic of Tanzania, Minister of Transport Hon. Prof. Makame Mbarawa, in participation in the El Alamein-Africa Forum and his official visit to Egypt, October Dry Port welcomed His Excellency for a field visit to explore the port’s management and operational experience.

The visit provided an opportunity to learn about the port’s operational capabilities, equipment, infrastructure, and the logistics services it offers.

The visit was attended by Eng. Mohamed Fathy, Assistant Minister of Transport for Maritime Transport Affairs, and Eng. El Sayed Metwally, Chairman of Egypt’s General Authority for Land and Dry Ports (GALDP).

The delegation was received by Eng. Mohamed AlKammah, Chief Executive Officer of October Dry Port, and Mr. Ahmed Tawakol, General Manager of October Dry Port.

The visit reflects Egypt’s efforts to showcase its experience in the development and operation of dry ports, highlighting October Dry Port’s role in supporting the multimodal transport system, strengthening integration between maritime transport and railways, and facilitating the exchange of expertise in port management, operations, and logistics services.
