CrewID would not approve my renewal because the photograph I submitted was 5 years out of date. So I made a new one. I think I am taller in the new one.

Tomorrow evening, July 4th, a group of artists and I will be showcasing our work at this unique FATHOM Event. I will be displaying a selection of my travel photographs taken over the past several years. Please stop in and say hello. There is no formal cover fee; however, any donations will support these kinds of events where local artists can display their work.

Here is an example of a local photographer with a special offering to help you unwind: Coffee Photos. Plus, he teaches what he calls the philosophy of photography. Come to Fathom and check him out.

We're excited to feature artist Ross Penner as part of FATHOM Winnipeg on July 4 at the Riverview Community Centre.

Ross has spent the past 14 years capturing the beauty of Manitoba through his lens. His photography celebrates the artistry of nature, using light, colour, and composition to create images that evoke a deep connection to the landscapes we call home.

Ross's work has been featured in books, magazines, and newspapers, and he is also passionate about sharing his knowledge by teaching photography to others.

Join us for an incredible evening of art, conversation, and discovery as artists and art lovers come together for the return of FATHOM to Winnipeg—the city where Public Display Agency held its very first event.

I realize this is short notice on a very busy weekend, but please stop by our exhibition and experience the work of some very talented local artists. You won't be disappointed.

Say hello to John Goulet, one of the incredible artists you'll meet at FATHOM Winnipeg on July 4 at the Riverview Community Centre.

For more than 50 years, John S. Goulet has used photography to tell stories. A lifelong pilot, his travels have taken him to some of the world's most remote places, where he captures powerful moments that preserve the people, landscapes, and experiences he encounters along the way. His work has been featured by Condé Nast Traveler, National Geographic Your Shot, Forbes Travel, and numerous international publications.

Today marks the 94th birthday of my mother, Joyce Alksne. During her funeral service, my cousin Georgina recited one of her poems, which I had discovered among her papers after her passing. I was profoundly moved by the beauty and simplicity of her poetry, and I found that its lyrical quality lent itself well to musical interpretation. Consequently, I set her poems to music and titled the album 'Just Ordinary Troubles', inspired by the poem that establishes the tone. I wish my mother a happy birthday, wherever she may be. I am sure she wouldn’t mind that I added a poem (song) of my own to her album.

Listen and make your own on Suno.
