The most unique of Dominican desserts are habichuelas con dulce–a sweet bean dessert made with beans, milk, coconut milk, sweet potatoes, raisins and spices like cinnamon, cloves, and nutmeg, its usually served with galletas de leche (milk cookies). It mostly consumed at Easter time, but it can be found in various bakeries at other times of the year.🫘🍪
The recipes vary depending on the part of the country, but most importantly this dessert is about sharing this beautiful traditions with our loves ones.
