Travel day! 🚆
We traded Marrakech for Casablanca and hopped on a train that was surprisingly comfortable - first class is a must!

Then it was off to explore Casablanca on foot👣… and let’s just say our step count deserves a standing ovation because WOW, are our feet tired. 🫠

The highlight of the day was touring the breathtaking Hassan II Mosque. The architecture, history, craftsmanship, and sheer beauty are absolutely indescribable. Every corner leaves you speechless, and trust me, the pictures don’t even come close to doing it justice. ✨

Lunch was at Le Gatsby, where I fueled my growing obsession with Moroccan mint tea. At this point, I may need to smuggle some home. 🍵😂

We wandered the city streets, soaked up the Casablanca vibes, and finished the day the best way possible — with a nice cold one on the rooftop🍻

👩🏼‍🤝‍👨🏻Medina day round #2😉…what an adventure!

The streets are a maze, and getting lost feels like part of the experience. We learned all about the art of Moroccan rug making—from dyeing the wool 🐑to the finished masterpiece. The colours, textures, and craftsmanship are absolutely incredible.

We heard the call to prayer echo through the square, breathed in the fresh mint, and wandered past endless displays of spices, fruit, and olives.

Lunch was a dream—authentic mint tea 🍵 and a chicken lemongrass tagine that was to die for. 😍

🫶🏻Morocco, you have my heart.

👩🏼‍🤝‍👨🏻We started the morning with a delicious breakfast before heading off to explore the Marrakech markets and mosque.🕌

The markets are an absolute sensory overload in the best way possible — vibrant textiles, mountains of olives🫒, fresh herbs, fragrant spices, and endless hustle and bustle. Every corner had something fascinating to see. The colours, the energy, the culture… simply incredible.

Then our adventure took an unexpected turn when someone (cough Nando cough) realized he had left his phone on the 🚌 . Cue the panic. 😱 Because let’s be honest — our family lives, business lives, travel plans, and basically our entire existence live on those little devices!

After many phone calls, a few stress-induced grey hairs, and some serious teamwork, the phone was recovered. Crisis averted.

😜This man is really testing me in my new role as wife.

Marrakech Market Adventure: Round One complete.

Round Two coming Monday… and hopefully all belongings will be coming with us this time. 😉📱

🫶🏻First day in Marrakech and she did not disappoint

After a late flight from Tenerife, we fully embraced the vacation lifestyle and slept in… because apparently relaxing is exhausting. 😂

Today also marks 3 weeks of being married to my Nando — happy 3 weeks to us! 💍

The Riu Tikida Garden is absolutely wonderful. Three amazing pools, delicious African-inspired food, endless drinks, and immaculate vacation vibes.

Sunshine, relaxation, and married life? We are thriving. 👩🏼‍🤝‍👨🏻☀️💕

Tomorrow we’re trading poolside cocktails for a little adventure as we head out to explore all that Marrakech has to offer — the people, the culture, the colours, the markets, and the magic. Stay tuned… this cat is ready for her Moroccan era. 🇲🇦
