🇩🇪⚓ Another great day on survey – Hanse 342

Today took us to the beautiful Olympia Hafen in Germany, where I had the pleasure of carrying out a pre-purchase survey on a Hanse 342.

And what a boat! ⛵️

It is not often you come across a pre-owned yacht in such exceptionally well-maintained condition.

🔹 Remarkably low moisture levels throughout the hull and deck
🔹 Rig and deck equipment in very good condition
🔹 Strong and comprehensive documentation and maintenance history
🔹 A yacht that has clearly been well cared for and continuously maintained

The Hanse 342 is already a fantastic sailing yacht — but finding one in this condition makes the surveyor’s job a real pleasure.

And the setting certainly didn’t hurt either…
Olympia Hafen is a beautiful place to carry out a survey. 🇩🇪🌊

For me, a good survey is about more than simply finding faults.
It is about giving the buyer a clear, independent and detailed picture of the yacht — so they can make an informed decision with confidence.

🇬🇧The next 3 days are spread out well from eastern Denmark to the west coast to northern Germany. 2 foreign customers and 1 Danish, 3 exciting boats!⛵️ 🇩🇰De næste 3 dage er spredt godt fra øst Danmark til vest kysten til det nordlige Tyskland. 2 udlandske kunder og 1 dansk, 3 spændene både !⛵️

🇩🇰 Næste uge er godt fyldt ud - 3 spændene både - vi glæder os til nogle gode inspektioner så de nye ejere kan få skønne oplevelser på vandet ! 🇬🇧 Next week is well booked - 3 very different boats - we are looking forward to some good inspections so the new owners can have wonderful experiences on the water!

Igår lavede vi et fuldt Pre-Purchase survey på denne skønne Beneteau Oceanis 36 CC.

Et eksempel på vigtigheden af et godt survey på en utrolig velholdt sejlbåd.

Det viser sig da vi løfter båden ud af vandet at båden har en mindre revne i roret der gør at roret tager vand ind til sin kerne samt kunne vi konstatere at der kommer en del rystelser fra propelakslen.

Både sælger og køber fandt lyn hurtigt en enighed og løsning så båden bliver løftet på land idag hos det lokale værft og får udbedret disse ting og handlen kan gennemføres til stor glæde for både sælger og køber.

⚓ NOT ALL KEEL BOLTS ARE MAINTAINED THE SAME WAY.
