Meet our fleet ⛴️ Today, we’re taking a closer look at Zeugma Seaways 🔍

Operating between Sète, France and Yalova, Türkiye, the ferry sails one of our longest routes, with each journey taking around 4 days 🇫🇷 🇹🇷

The ferry is 18 years old and can carry up to 4,592 lane metres of freight 🚛

Deckhand Ahmet Bozkurt has worked on board Zeugma Seaways for the past 7 years.

“I chose DFDS because it’s a global company that offers good conditions. Over the years, I’ve experienced supportive managers who are always there for us, and I’m happy to be part of a team that works together to overcome challenges,” says Ahmet Ahmet Bozkurt

🌍 Across DFDS, we operate 33 ferry routes, 8 port terminals, 6 rail lines and 90 logistics locations, helping connect businesses and communities across Europe.

We are expanding our Norway-Belgium-UK freight service with a new port of call: Drammen, Norway ⛴️

Starting 17 August, we’ll be calling the Port of Drammen every week, making it even easier for businesses in the Oslo region to connect with key European markets.

This addition strengthens our network in Eastern Norway and creates smoother transport connections from inland Norway to destinations across Europe.

🌍 The Norway-Belgium-UK route is part of our wider ferry and logistics network totalling 33 ferry routes, 8 port terminals, 6 rail lines and 90 logistics locations, connecting Europe seamlessly.

The ferry Flandria Seaways has 6,700 lane meters of freight capacity - enough space to stretch 6.7 km, or roughly 64 football pitches, if laid out in a straight line 🚛🚚🚛

A photo we love to see 💙

Globally, women make up just 1% of seafarers in Deck and Engine roles.* ⚙️

At DFDS, we’re excited to see that changing. The share of women in our Deck and Engine roles has more than doubled in just a few years - from 4.4% in 2023 to 9.3% in early 2026 🥳

Pictured here are third engineer Manon, cadet Lea, fourth engineer Salma and engine cadet Rim - all working in the engine room onboard Côte des Dunes, sailing between Dover and Calais ⚓️

Salma and Rim have both been part of Waves of Talent, a DFDS programme created to open more pathways to a career at sea.

Cadets receive practical training on DFDS vessels, support from experienced mentors and, after completing the programme, a guaranteed opportunity to join DFDS ⛴️

We asked 3 of our colleagues working at sea, what people ashore might not realise about life onboard? 🌊👇

💙 Business Leader Karolina Maigytė, Luna Seaways:
“Onboard, we work and live together with the same crew every day, so patience, mutual respect, and the ability to stay professional even after long working hours are extremely important. At the same time, life at sea teaches you how to adapt, become stronger as a person, and appreciate the small things - a good team, a peaceful evening at sea, or simply a beautiful sunset after a long day of work.”

💙 Captain S. Bahadır Ersoy, Aspendos Seaways:
“People look at the goods in their local stores but rarely think about the human effort behind them. They don't realise that nearly everything they consume spent time on a ship, managed by a small group of seafarers working 24/7 through storms and isolation to ensure those goods arrive safely.”

💙 Steward Burçin Sınar, Aspendos Seaways:
"Crew members from many different cultures live and work together in a limited space for months. What people don't realise is how much teamwork, respect and a positive attitude matter - they're what make it work."

Motorman Vladyslav Psiadlo works on board Levante Jet, which sails between Jersey and Poole in the UK 🇬🇧

He helps keep the engine room running smoothly and assists the mechanics with the daily operations ⚙️

Vladyslav is one of our 15,100 dedicated colleagues keeping Europe moving 💙

Remember when Yes Theory hitchhiked a ride onboard Ephesus Seaways sailing from Istanbul to Trieste? 🚢

Captain Bahadir and his crew welcomed Eric and Thomas onboard 👋

They shared what life at sea is like, from getting a haircut and a game of basketball to showing how we work with safety 🌊 🛟
