****MARCH CONTAINER 2023****

I have been given the news that the March Container was released late Friday evening, boxes have been offloaded from the container and deliveries/distribution will commence this coming week. I have received word from one customer who wished to pick up his own boxes at the warehouse, that he did so already yesterday (Saturday) and is very happy.

Please remember that the Forwarder in charge of the March boxes now, is only helping so you all can receive your packages. They will be doing their very best to have the boxes delivered in a timely manner, however some delays can occur but it is the usual standard delivery procedure with the following schedules:
Metro Manila / around 1 - 12 days
Luzon / around 12 - 24 days
Visayas ~ Mindanao / around 15 - 45 days

BOC - March Container Update

Bureau of Customs has informed me that regretfully they will not be able to release the March Container this month as first advised.
This is due to the fact that there are many containers just like ours, that have been in cue much longer and they are only able to handle a certain amount at a time whilst also overseeing the distribution of boxes from these containers.

They have though assured me that the container is waiting in line now and will be included with the next batch of containers, which will be released mid to last week of Feb.
Unfortunately this is how their operation works and I cannot do much more at this time, except to wait again until further notice from them.

MARCH SHIPMENT INFO:

First of all let me start by saying, I have not been negligent in working to solve this case. As stated several times I have and still am working tirelessly in having this container released. I have done my very best throughout this entire time of being totally transparent with all the information given to me in the last couple of months. As I have also informed before, it has not been an easy task to contact the lawful authorities who could help me with this issue. And once I was able to, communication was difficult to maintain, as I would not receive a response immediately and therefore I could not relay further with an update.

PACE, DTI, BOC and Office of Sir Raffy Tulfo are the authorities I have contacted and to whom I have filed my complaint against Brand Expert Freight Forwarder. Letter from Sir Raffy Tulfo was signed and obtained last week. This was personally delivered to Bureau of Customs by my representative in the Philippines.

As of yesterday 2am, Tuesday 19th December, I have spoken with the BOC and who now informs me that they have taken it upon themselves to be in charge of the March Container. They are just finalizing the last documents necessary in order to have the container released to them. Once released, they will oversee the distribution/deliveries of the boxes and have assured me that they will reach their rightful owners. However due to the Holidays, they first expect the release will happen sometime in early January and I will be advised further when this happens.

In the meantime, I am requesting Customers with boxes in the March Shipment to please advise if there are any changes or missing information for the Consignee of the box(es).

PHONE NUMBER (this is very important and needs to be active and reachable)

I do sincerely apologize for those affected by this whole issue and I am thankful to those customers who have been patient and understanding.

I would now like to take the time and express my gratitude to the following: most especially my Husband, my son, my daughter, my mother and my sister. As well as some family members, close friends, close associates/colleagues and my representative in the Philippines. You have all stood by me, helped and assisted me in any way possible and tried to keep my spirits up when all seemed hopeless to me. ***STATUS ON MARCH CONTAINER***

At first we did not receive further response to our complaint sent to DTI. But we had also filed our complaint to PACE (Presidential Action Center), Complaint which was only acknowledged 2 days ago. PACE immediately forwarded our complaint to Head Officials of DTI and (BOC again) to take immediate measures into investigating our case. And we have received responses from both Offices yesterday and today that they are now closely looking into our case. We are therefore hoping and praying for the news of positive feedback hopefully soon.
As we have mentioned before, we are working tirelessly to have this issue solved even though it is taking a long time especially with the time difference being a key factor to communication, but we are determined that this container be released and all boxes be distributed to their respective consignees.

***STATUS - MARCH CONTAINER***

BOC informs us that they are unable to help us, as taxes and duties on the container are paid for, meaning the container is still at Manila Customs and "NOT ABANDONED". Warning from BOC has been given to Brand Expert Freight Forwarder to pay the settlement which they owe for the release of our container to Manila Customs.
And though many believe that we are not doing anything at all to solve this problem, we are still in contact with other authorities in the Philippines to ask for their support to help us in this case. Please keep in mind that communication with the Philippines and due to the time difference, we are not always able to get responses from them immediately or on the same given day. Once again, the container is "NOT ABANDONED", the boxes are not lost and therefore we are still working tirelessly to have this container released so all boxes can be delivered to their consignees.

March Shipment Latest Update:

BOC (Bureau of Customs) Head Officials have confirmed they have received our complaint towards Brand Expert Freight Forwarder, who have neglected on their part to comply with the Terms of our Contract and have our container released. BOC have therefore been informed and are now looking into our case. We are currently waiting for an update from them.

****MARCH SHIPMENT UPDATE as of 19/07/23****

Dear Customers,

First of all, we are well aware of the many concerns regarding our March Shipment which has now been at Manila Customs since the end of May, and we deeply apologize for this major delay.

We have learnt that Brand Expert Freight Forwarder who handles our container once at Manila Port is having financial problems at the moment and is the cause of this delay. It shall be stated that we have paid for this Shipment in advance to Brand Expert.

We have and still are, in the past weeks been working tirelessly and trying to coordinate with several to solve this issue with our March Container. Unfortunately it is a slow process, but we are working hard to get this problem solved. As we are using all our time and resources on this issue, communication with us is limited, therefore we kindly ask for your understanding.

With regards to our May Shipment, deliveries are ongoing and being handled by our new Forwarder. Future Shipments will also be in the custody of the new Forwarder.

****NEWS INFO****

It is with a sad heart that I have to inform all customers that our store front is closing on Vesterbrogade 86 as of 01 February, 2023. It has been a good 10 years, but with the inflation and high prices at the moment, I have had to make decisions on what is best for the company.

Connect Logistics is NOT closing as a Business, we will still continue to operate as we always have. The only difference is that it will no longer be possible to pass by the shop and pickup empty boxes. Boxes have to be ordered thru sms to 27828880 at least 2 months prior to the shipment you wish to send with. It has not been decided yet if there will be a new location, but will inform further if that happens. Next few months, we will be busy with packing, renovating and closing the shop, therefore I will first be available to respond to any messages from Wednesday to Friday from 15pm-18pm. And please if possible only send a message via sms (again to 27828880) as it will be much easier for me to respond to.

On a positive note though, this means I will not be adding another price increase on boxes which was our original plan to do so.

****SHIPMENT UPDATES****

I apologize that I have not been able to update information regarding the past shipments, this will be explained further in a seperate post, but now for the shipments:-

Our January Shipment was fetched from warehouse yesterday and on its way to first port in Germany. An exact ETA departure from there bound to Asia has not been given yet as there is still much congestion at all ports - To be advised further.

Next Shipment - DEPARTING MARCH 27
Deadline to confirm for this shipment is no later than March 07.
Pickup for the following areas:
March 16-19 Sjælland
March 19-26 Fyn/Jylland

Now regarding Shipments from August, September, October and November:-

August - Still a few boxes have yet to be delivered, and I am checking status with Manila Forwarder on these.

September/October - Both Shipments were very delayed arriving Manila due to congestion at all Ports. Both arrived right around Christmas and New Year. Processing at Customs is also taking longer at the moment once the containers arrive, as Manila has informed me it is due to lots of changes at Customs as well.
Deliveries and distribution of boxes from both containers are ongoing, but boxes bound for Vis/Min areas are also taking longer as the containers are waiting at Manila Port for shipping schedule to be transferred to the provinces.

November Shipment - was delayed in Germany due to all the congestion and therefore departed later than expected. It is therefore still enroute to Singapore Port and hopefully will be there by the end of this week. Then again, we need to wait for first availablity on vessel bound for Manila which we at present have no status update on yet either.

We apologize for all these delays, but as I have said before in previous posts - Shipping Industry has been very affected by delays ever since the pandemic and the present current events, and therefore still trying to get things running back to normal. The dates we give to customers about ETA arrival in Manila are from the present schedule we get from the Shipping Company, but with advise that dates are subject to changes due to the congestion.

We thank all our customers for their patience and understanding and once again do apologize for the inconvenience it may have caused with your expectations.
