🌏 Driving Growth Together Across Asia & the Middle East

Last week, our Asia & Middle East leadership team gathered in Shanghai, China, for our Regional General Meeting, bringing together General Managers from across the region, alongside Mikkel Dahl Tindbæk, Global Head of Ocean Freight.

While the agenda focused on business performance, market developments, strategic priorities, and growth opportunities, the meeting was equally about something that has always been at the heart of our success: our people. Bringing leaders together from across Asia and the Middle East provided a valuable opportunity to share experiences, learn from one another, and strengthen the relationships that connect our offices and teams throughout the region.

A special highlight was the opportunity to present our 2025 Country of the Year Awards in person. Although the winners were announced earlier this year, it was particularly meaningful to celebrate their achievements together and recognize the outstanding contributions of our teams across Asia & the Middle East.

A big thank you to everyone who contributed to the engaging discussions, positive energy and collaborative spirit. We leave Shanghai energized, aligned, and inspired to turn these conversations into action as we continue supporting our customers and growing together across the region. 🤝

🚢 More than 30 years of investing in the future of logistics

One of the traditions we are most proud of at Scan-Shipping is our annual Elevdag, where trainees from across Denmark come together to learn, connect, and grow.

For more than three decades, this event has reflected our belief that developing young talent is one of the most important investments we can make. And this year was no exception. 🌟

The day began with insightful sessions, giving our trainees a deeper understanding of our business, industry trends, and the many opportunities within logistics. It was also a valuable opportunity to connect with colleagues from different offices, share experiences, and strengthen relationships across the organization. 📈🤝

Of course, Elevdag is about more than learning. We also spent time together outside the office, taking part in activities that challenged us, strengthened teamwork, and created plenty of laughter and great memories along the way.

What makes days like these special is seeing the curiosity, energy, and ambition of the next generation. Their engagement and fresh perspectives remind us why continuing to invest in people remains at the heart of our success.

🌍 Connecting EPC ambitions with logistics expertise across Africa.

Scan-Shipping was proud to sponsor and participate in the Turkish EPC Summit in Copenhagen, bringing together EPC contractors, Danish industry representatives, and partners to explore opportunities across Africa.

We are delighted to welcome two new trainees in our Road department who are beginning their journey with us this month.

🚛 Sigurd Brix Sørensen joins our Continental Department in Aarhus. Originally from Roslev, Sigurd brings experience from the automotive industry and has recently spent two months exploring South America after completing his HHX education.

🚛 William Lindegaard Pedersen joins our Cross Trade Department in Aalborg. Coming from Aabybro, William is preparing to relocate to Aalborg and has spent the past nine months travelling across Asia and Australia following his HHX studies.

Both Sigurd and William bring curiosity, international perspectives, and fresh energy to our Road Freight team. We look forward to supporting their development, sharing our industry knowledge, and seeing them grow throughout their apprenticeship journey.
