launched a Verified badge for artists - and it's specifically for real humans, not Al profiles or fake pages.
To qualify, you need 10,000 monthly listeners held consistently over 3 consecutive months.
Not a one-time spike, sustained growth.
And if you already had a blue checkmark on Spotify, it simply turns green. No extra steps.
The badge gives fans a trusted signal that there's a real person behind the music. But smaller artists aren't automatically out either - if you've made important contributions to music culture and history, your profile will still be reviewed.
Oh, and there’s also a new Artist Details section rolling out across all profiles, giving listeners more context about you and your milestones directly on your page.
