Some stories and inspirations naturally connect industries.

This week, Mountain Soaring and Stemme are participating in a Honda Motors influencer event in the French Alps around the all-new Honda Prelude.

What makes this event particularly meaningful is the human story behind the Prelude itself.

Tomoyuki Yamagami, Development Leader of the new Prelude, built much of the vehicle philosophy around the emotion and freedom of soaring flight. After personally experiencing glider flying, he brought part of his teams into this world to better understand the silence, efficiency, elegance and sensation of pure glide that inspired the concept behind the car.

Honda officially describes the Prelude through the philosophy of “Unlimited Glide”.

In this context, it feels only natural to see Stemme and Mountain Soaring taking part in this unique experience in the Alps with the S10 and S12 alongside Markus Lewandowski.

A beautiful reminder that aerodynamics, emotion and the passion for flight continue to inspire far beyond aviation itself.

In Hawaii, the Soar Hawaii Foundation is rebuilding a true soaring culture around youth education, safety, scholarship flights and access to aviation careers.

Operating in one of the world’s most unique soaring environments, with more than 300 flyable days per year and exceptional ridge lift conditions, the project combines passion for pure flight with a long-term educational vision.
Their Stemme S10 VT will become a central part of this mission, supporting scholarship flights, public events and air-to-air imagery helping share both the beauty of soaring flight and the Foundation’s vision.
Aviation is also about transmission, inspiration and creating the next generation of aviators.

Engine off. Silence on board.
Somewhere under the clouds near León, Spain.

Gabriel from SoaringAdventures.eu continues the training and familiarization flights with one of our customers on the Stemme S12G.

After climb and cruise under power, the propeller disappears, the engine is shut down, the Garmin screens go dark… and the flight continues in pure soaring mode.

Only the LX9000 remains active, powered by the dedicated battery and solar panels.

Just the air, the clouds, and the landscape below.
