🏰🇩🇪 Sigmaringen Castle ✨ Schloss Sigmaringen 🇩🇪🏰

It impresses with its beauty and grandeur and enchants visitors with its perfect location. This castle seems to have grown right out of the rock above the Danube 💙

It is the largest of all castles in the Danube Valley and the second-largest castle in Germany: it has more than 450 rooms! The interior is no less impressive than its exterior.

The first fortifications on the site of the modern castle appeared as early as the 11th century, and since the 16th century the castle has belonged to the Hohenzollern dynasty.

👑 The House of Hohenzollern is one of Europe’s most influential dynasties, with a history spanning nearly 1.000 years. They gave the world Prussian kings and German emperors, and their influence once extended far beyond Germany. Today, the family still owns several historic residences, including Sigmaringen Castle and the ancestral Hohenzollern Castle 🏰✨

Over the centuries, the castle has turned into a true architectural mix: Gothic, Renaissance, and Neo-Gothic styles intertwine here ✨

Inside, you’ll find luxurious ceremonial halls with painted ceilings, tapestries, mirrors, columns, paintings, and statues…
Particular attention is drawn to the Armory Hall with its impressive weapon collection and the Trophy Room with hunting exhibits ⚔️🦌

In 1893, the castle suffered severe damage from a fire: the upper floors and roof were destroyed. It was later extensively restored and rebuilt with the addition of Neo-Gothic and Renaissance elements 🔥🏰

Today, the castle can easily be visited independently, without a guide, and photography inside is allowed 📸

🌿🫒 Infused Green and Pink Olive Oil 🫒🌸

An aromatic oil that instantly makes any dish presentation look restaurant-worthy ✨

How to make this oil at home without expensive and trendy gadgets 😉

For the green color, use any juicy greens. It can be: spinach, dill, parsley, mint, arugula, green onion, wild garlic…

For the pink color: beetroot (fresh or roasted).

You can use any oil you like (olive oil or vegetable oil).

🌿 GREEN INFUSED OIL

1. Wash the greens thoroughly and dry them well with a towel.
2. Place the greens into a blender and add the oil.
3. Blend until as smooth as possible.
4. Transfer the mixture into a saucepan.
5. Heat on level 6 (medium heat), stirring constantly, for 5–7 minutes.
6. Strain through a fine sieve or cheesecloth.

My experiments:
• mint + spinach → rich, deep green color and a vibrant aroma 💚
• dill + parsley → a softer, lighter green shade 🌿

❗️ IMPORTANT:
Store this oil only in a dark place and always keep it covered to minimize contact with UV light 🔆 and air.
When exposed to light, the color fades very quickly and turns yellow-brown, literally before your eyes. This happens because chlorophyll (green pigments responsible for the bright color) breaks down.
The perfect color lasts up to 2–3 days.

🌸 PINK BEET OIL

1. Peel the beetroot and cut it into pieces.
2. Place it into a blender together with the oil.
3. Blend until smooth.
4. Transfer into a saucepan.
5. Heat on level 6 (medium heat), stirring constantly, for 5–7 minutes.
6. Strain through a sieve or cheesecloth.

You can use either raw or roasted beetroot — the color turns out equally beautiful 💖

This oil is not affected by sunlight.
The ideal color lasts up to 2–3 days. It is still recommended to keep it covered.

It creates a truly unique and special flavor!

For preparation, we’ll need:
• Coconut milk — 150 ml
• Water — 150 ml
• Vanilla syrup — 2 tsp (to taste)
• Lime syrup — 2 tsp (to taste)
• Matcha — 1/2 tsp

Preparation process:
1️) Bring the water and coconut milk to a boil.
2️) Blend all ingredients until a light foam appears ☁️
3️) Adjust the amount of matcha and syrups according to your taste.

A little tip: always mix coconut milk with water. On its own, coconut milk can be quite heavy on the stomach.

🌎 Wisteria originates from East Asia and North America. It is especially widespread in China, Japan, and the USA, where it can be seen in parks, gardens, and even on historic buildings.

The plant has two main names — “Wisteria” and “Glycinia” 🌿

The name “Wisteria” was given in honor of the American anatomy professor Caspar Wistar. Over time, the spelling changed slightly, and the botanical form Wisteria became officially established.

The name “Glycinia” is connected to an alternative form derived from the Greek word "glykys", meaning “sweet.” This name appeared because of the flower’s delicate fragrance 🌸

🌸 In China, people have believed since ancient times that wisteria planted near a home brings harmony, peace, and warmth to the family.
🌸 In Japan, wisteria is known as “Fuji” and is considered a symbol of love, femininity, and refined beauty.
There is a legend about a beautiful girl named Fuji whose kindness and gentleness were so great that after her death, the gods transformed her into a flowering vine with long cascading clusters of blossoms. This is why famous Japanese flower festivals and tunnels are dedicated to wisteria.

🌿 The diversity of wisteria is truly impressive: there are around 10 species and hundreds of ornamental varieties 😮

Weinheim is an incredibly cozy town in the north of Baden-Württemberg 💚

The name Weinheim is often translated as “wine home,” and that’s no coincidence — the region has long been associated with winemaking 🍇

The town lies on the border between the Rhine plain and the forested slopes of the Odenwald, which gives it a wonderfully mild climate and plenty of sunny days ☀️

But behind this light and romantic atmosphere lies a very ancient history. Weinheim was first mentioned in documents as early as 755 — in a donation record to the monastery of Lorsch Abbey 📜
It originated as a Frankish settlement in the Early Middle Ages, and later monasteries played a key role in the region’s development — managing lands, cultivating agriculture, and establishing winemaking traditions 🍷

Weinheim’s main highlight is its two castles rising above the town:
🏰 Windeck — the ruins of a medieval fortress with a picturesque view over the old town
🏰 Wachenburg — a “younger” castle from the early 20th century, built by student fraternities and still used for events today

A special place is held by Schlosspark Weinheim — one of the most beautiful parks in the region 🌸

🌿🥗 Asparagus on a Creamy Cottage Cheese Base 🥗🌿

A spring-inspired, light, fresh, and very elegant dish — perfect for brunch or a light dinner 💚

Crispy asparagus, a delicate and slightly tangy cottage cheese base, and a honey mustard sauce combined with herb-infused olive oil make the flavor truly special 😋

Ingredients (for 1 serving):
• green / purple asparagus — 200–250 g
• cherry tomatoes (mix) — 100 g
• “green” olive oil — 1–2 tbsp

For the cottage cheese base (1 serving):
• cottage cheese — 100 g
• salt — to taste
• coarsely ground mixed pepper — to taste
• olive oil — 1–2 tbsp
• lemon juice — 1 tbsp
• garlic — 1/2 small clove

For the sauce:
• olive oil — 2 tbsp
• lemon juice — 1 tbsp
• liquid honey (acacia) — 1 tsp
• honey mustard — 1 tsp
• salt — to taste

Instructions:
1. Prepare the asparagus: trim off the tough ends (about 2–3 cm).
2. Boil the asparagus in lightly salted water for 2 minutes over high heat. Remove.
3. Preheat the oven to 200 °C (top/bottom heat).
4. Place the asparagus and halved cherry tomatoes in a baking dish, drizzle with olive oil, and lightly salt.
5. Bake for 10–15 minutes. I recommend 10 minutes — the asparagus will be “al dente”: crisp and juicy.
6. Cottage cheese base: mix all ingredients until smooth.
7. Sauce: combine all ingredients.
8. Toss the cooked asparagus with the sauce and let it marinate for 2–3 minutes.
9. Assembly:
– spread the cottage cheese base on a plate,
– place the asparagus on top,
– add a little green oil,
– add cherry tomatoes,
– if desired, drizzle with a bit more honey mustard sauce.

Dandelion (Taraxacum officinale) is a little sun, long associated with warmth, life, and inner light 💛

This simple flower has been used for centuries 🌿
In traditional Chinese medicine, it has been valued for its ability to support balance and gently restore the body ✨

It has a unique taste: a light bitterness, depth, and herbal notes…

I choose ready-made tea — it’s safe and convenient.
❗️I don’t recommend picking dandelions in parks or near roads.

🌿 In Europe, it is harvested in clean meadows and fields and on small farms as a medicinal plant.

🌼 For tea, they use:
• roots — give a rich, almost “coffee-like” flavor
• leaves — more herbal and fresh
• flowers — a soft, slightly sweet infusion

Dandelion is rich in vitamins A, C, K, and antioxidants ✨
This tea supports digestion and gives a feeling of lightness 🌿

It’s very easy to brew: pour hot water over the tea and let it steep for 5–7 minutes ☕
To enhance the flavor even more, add dandelion honey 🍯🌼
It’s a perfect combination: the light bitterness of the tea and the delicate sweetness of the honey create a harmony of taste 😋

Dandelion is also widely used in cooking in China, the Middle East, Europe, the Balkans, and North America: it’s used to make salads, soups, savory pies, jam, and wine; “coffee” is made from the roots, and it can also be sautéed or stewed.
