Five years of living in Sarajevo, and I still get genuinely excited every time I sit down to eat here! 🥹

Food in Bosnia is not about Michelin stars or overpriced street food. It's about someone's grandmother's recipe, bread straight out of the oven, and seasonal veggies. It's much more about enjoyment than just fueling your body.

It was about time I put together a guide to my 10 favorite Bosnian dishes, with all my go-to spots in Sarajevo for each one. From Pita at Sač to Tufahija at Kuća Sevdaha to Bosnian coffee.

This May, treat yourself and your friends to a wine tasting 🍷
It’s the perfect month for it—especially in Herzegovina! Local autochthonous varieties you won’t find anywhere else, cheese, pršut (and a whole new lot of furry friends when you visit Stevo and Dimitrije .bojanic in Trebinje).

This is one of the oldest streets of Sarajevo—and you shouldn’t miss out on it. Because here on Baščaršija, melts tradition and modern design into something new. Everything here is handmade. Everything is unique. And everything is deeply Sarajevo.

I get this question a lot: how many days should we spend in Sarajevo? And I personally think 4 days is a sweet spot 🤗 You get a bit of everything—culture, nature, and time to ćejf ☕️
