With Group Buy you can order directly from farmers, cut all food waste and save over 50%.
How does it work?
Just start a group buy or join a group that someone else has started near you.
To start a group all you need to do is select a product you like and hit group buy, then you need 2 people to join your group within 24 hours. You can invite friends, co-workers or neighbours. Or someone nearby might join your group.
Why do this?
By ordering direct from farmers we eliminate ~30% of food-waste that traditional supermarkets and supply chains produce while supporting producers.
Just like you we like buying direct from farmers but found the cost of shipping usually made things unaffordable for regular use and that at 'farmers markets' not everyone was a farmer... and they may have just bought from a wholesale market and were reselling it...
So we built JoinOrder to let you order in groups of 3 to save over 50% on fresh produce by ordering in groups. We show you who the farmer is, where it comes from and in most cases the fish or fruit is being picked after you order!
The farmer still keeps all the cash and the savings come from shared shipping. This has the added benefit of being zero food waste and ultra fresh!
We started with fish and seafood as that has the highest shipping costs and also the highest food waste via supermarkets.
