The Volkswagen Caminhões e Ônibus e-Delivery has already been on the road for a couple of weeks. So now it’s time to tell you a few details about its special features that prove it's more than just an powered truck.

Around 100 sensors and new electronic controls make the vehicle even more . State-of-the-art solutions range from brake energy recovery, which recovers up to 40 percent of the energy, to air conditioning control, that increases the comfort in the driver's cab.

Above all, the eco-drive-mode, which can be activated by the driver when energy needs to be saved, is a distinguishing feature. In this way, the vehicle automatically adjusts its in operation, delivering only what is necessary and increasing its autonomy.

The groundwork is laid for a range of Scania Group buses. The first model is the Fencer f1, a fully built single-deck bus released in the UK and subsequently introduced in many other markets around the world. It offers a wide range of sustainability benefits. The built-in nine-liter engine, for example, is a pure SCR engine, which meets the requirements of the Euro 6 Stage E emissions standard. Thanks to its special transmission, the bus is also able to achieve enormous fuel savings compared to its predecessors.

Congratulations dear colleagues from Volkswagen Caminhões e Ônibus for this remarkable results.

Just four weeks ago, he VW e-Delivery was unveiled in two models. The two trucks are 100% manufactured in Resende, Brazil, in collaboration between VWCO and Modular Consortium.

Within a short period of time, the first batch of has already been sold out. One of the customers is Coca-Cola FEMSA Brasil, which has purchased 20 vehicles. Another hundred e-Delivery will be sold to Ambev by the end of the year. By 2025, the Brazilian brewing company intends to buy a total of 1,600 e-Delivery trucks.

Starting in 2022, MAN Truck & Bus plans to deliver its new , OptiView, to its customers. It is a mirror replacement system, that uses several cameras to give the driver a view around the on a display on the A-pillar and the navigation screen.
