Our talented hackers worked tirelessly on solutions aimed at our mission to Decarbonize the Planet, and the results were amazing! 💻🌱
After such an intense 3 days, words can’t quite capture the energy, so we’ll let the photos speak for themselves. 📸✨

🚀𝗛𝗮𝗰𝗸𝗳𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗮𝗹 𝗶𝘀 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗳𝗳!🚀

We’ve got some big news from our hackfestival: the famous ESA - European Space Agency astronaut Alexander Gerst is joining us on our mission for a more sustainable future! 👨‍🚀

He really shows how important it is for us all to contribute to decarbonize the planet. As one of the few, Gerst has had the opportunity to view our planet from above, a chance that very few people have had.
The view from space shows just how fragile the biosphere is and how limited our resources are.🌱

From up high, it’s easy to see how our actions are affecting the planet. We’re facing a number of challenges, including deforestation, garbage in our oceans and limited resources that we’re using too fast. There’s still a lot of work to be done, even years from now. But if we all work together, we can make things better.🤝🏻

In 2018, he gave a memorable speech, „To My Grandchildren,“ where he highlighted the importance of dreams and the future compared to the past. With Hackfestival, we’re aiming for the stars.🌟

We’re thrilled to welcome him to our opening ceremony on Friday, September 6th at 3:30 pm for a fireside chat with our Founder & CEO Oliver Brümmer and gain some valuable insights.

Dream crazier, women! 🙋‍♀️

You might have seen the new commercial series of Nike . This reflects exactly our spirit at HerHackathon 2023, who my wonderful female colleagues around Claudia Wilke and Aylin Haltmair have put together. There will be corporate challenges by Freudenberg, ING Deutschland, Schwarz IT, John Deere, Beiersdorf, and Bayer… which demand to be tackled bold and in a very authentic manner – just like the female athletes in the Nike commercial tackled their challenges.

We will be covering a broad variety of challenges from corporate ride hailing to virtual farming. And on top of all, there will be great role models, assets and resources available provided by our ecosystem partners like LinkedIn, , KPMG Karriere Deutschland, Digital Hub Initiative, among others.
