What a weekend.
The sun was shining with no wind. As a keen regatta sailor, I rarely go out on such a day. Its unbearably warm, you hardly move sitting in one position while concentrating all the time trying to keep moving.

It is precisely such a day the SunSailor war built for and we spent the family weekend, sailing the Lake of Constance. Our two daughters loved it, the four year old was watching boats, swimming, being towed behind the boat and reading cartoons, while our 4 month old slept almost the whole time, gently rocking around in the bottom of the hull.

We had breakfast rolls on the lake and lunch in some, harder to get to places around the lake, mooring up in front of beaches and just hanging out where we felt like it. No stress, no work. Just un-interrupted pleasure for all of us.

In those two days we sailed 55 km in total, never running low on battery and almost never running anything but full throttle on the small 700w engine. I like to think we were already then setting a few solar boat records, who knows but we sure will start setting them next year.
