A look behind the scenes at EUROGATE.

Our apprentices recently had the opportunity to visit EUROGATE together with fellow apprentices from Sartori & Berger.

During the visit, they got an up-close look at the terminal operations and the equipment used to handle containers – including this Van Carrier, an essential part of the day-to-day operations at the terminal.

But the real highlight? The exchange.
Different companies, different perspectives, one shared passion for the maritime industry.

Because the future of shipping is not only shaped by technology and operations – it’s shaped by the people who are curious enough to ask questions, open enough to share ideas and motivated enough to keep learning.

Always a pleasure to host a guest from the animal kingdom on one of our ships. Our Second Mate on CPO BILBAO had the chance to capture this iridescent Eurasian kingfisher taking a well-earned rest on the pilot ladder while the vessel was en route to Damietta, Egypt.
So don’t worry: if you’re tiny and adorable, you’re always welcome on board.

On a day like this, with grey clouds hanging low over Hong Kong, a splash of pink is just what you need to brighten the mood.
Our good vessel RDO ENDEAVOUR was happy to oblige, as she happened to be in the neighbourhood, passing Hong Kong on her way to Shekou.
Turns out, carrying all those pink boxes serves more than one purpose.

Safety starts with being prepared.

This photo captures the crew of CPO Trieste gathering for their weekly safety drill.
Led by the Second Officer, these drills are an essential part of life at sea, giving the crew the opportunity to regularly train different emergency procedures and strengthen their response as a team.

Every drill is different, but the goal remains the same: to be prepared when it matters most.

A regular part of life on board — and an important reminder that good preparation starts long before an emergency occurs.

Night always had its way of transforming ordinary things into something else. When the sun goes down and the lights come on, the ship becomes a different place.

The first coffee of the day is hard to beat. Then again, so is a sunrise at the Panama Canal.
Every morning aboard CPO Palermo brings a different horizon, a different sky, and a different story. When the view changes every day, the coffee almost becomes an excuse to stop and take it all in.
A reminder that no two mornings at sea are ever quite the same.

Today, we say goodbye to two valued members of our leadership team.
